Yey! Finally! I totally agree with your comment about this rendition and arrangement. I felt this made more sense than the upbeat version which I think was "rude." This told a story through sung dialogue like a musical and made the message more of a plea which makes you take the side of the protagonist unlike the brashness of the original (which i think was the intention?). Love how the arrangement still gives credit and honesty to the "father" or whoever he is asking permission from, with the tone placement and punctuation. Told ya this is up your alley!
