Been to his concert and watched many of his interviews/BTS clips. In real life he seems to be a very sweet, kind, somewhat shy, very polite, very down to earth and boy-next-door type. When totally relaxed he can also be playful and funny, even a bit mischievous. In other words, he's a cat in real life but a tiger on stage. I wouldn't call it split personality. It's more like the stage gets his inner tiger out of his cat body.

I just stayed at the same hotel as he and met him in the lobby with just 5-6 other people happening to be there. It was about 40 min. after a 2.5 hrs. show, with a lot of jumping (yes, he likes to jump a lot😁) , moving around and sweating. He was SO calm, friendly, relaxed and not hyped whatsoever. It was like he just got out of a meditation session 😊. I took a selfie with him and the stupid timer was set to 5 sec. which felt like forever and I got nervous he'd be annoyed. But he was calm and kept smiling to the camera (I didn't, now I have a selfie with him all friendly and I look like someone just insulted me😁).

He is the most humble, like he is always saying how thankful he is to his parents, teachers and fans. He is so young yet SO WISE, soft-spoken and well-mannered. He irradiates energy and pure peace, when he meet his fans at the airport, he always has time to talk with them, always receives their gifts and tells them to be careful when walking around the airport. SO RESPECTFUL towards elderly people, I remember one time an old lady kissed his hands and then, he kissed hers back, such a pure soul. Cheerful and passionate, playful and thoughtful. He always impresses me, such a good soul on this planet.

Dimash's own mother said that sometimes when she sees him on stage she doesn't recognize him. In formal sit-down interviews (best example the 45 min interview he has on his official youtube channel) he is serious, mature, philosophical and intellectual. In more casual fan encounters, like in airports, he is shy, sometimes playful, and seems boyishly young.

Despite the fact that Dimash is really a very strong and charismatic artist with crazy vocal skills, he is adequate, intelligent, educated and kind guy in everyday life. I met him at the airport, a very calm and polite young man (among Hollywood actors with similar traits this is Keanu Reeves)

But there was a female equivalent to him. They have the same range. She also sings in multiple styles but they are different styles. She has whistle, Opera both male and female and also has some cool Throat singing and she does nature and animal interpretations all in one song. Unfortunately she didn't get very big before she died. She existed back when there were no colours in videos.

I was at the concert in St.-Petersburg. And it was absolutely crazy performance. 3 hour live sound with full connection with audience. His charisma is mesmerizing. He sings, he dances, he talks with every spectacular. Like my mom says Dimash is singing the way like he is whispering for every man or woman in the hall. You can want or not want but you are crying about this beauty of voice and music . And Dimash loves to laugh and to joke on the scene also. I love all his songs. All. But my favorites are the songs of maestro Igor Krutoy - Passione, Know, Love of tired swans, Olimpico, and especially ❣Love is like a dream❣.I think the reason is I am a woman and I am a russian woman 😁😁😁 Sorry my English is not very good but I tried strongly to describe my feelings. Dimash is very humble, shy, intellectual, well mannered & professional! So to answer your question, Dimash definitely has an alter ego on stage! He is charismatic in person but it’s in a completely different way than the way he is on stage! He’s such an amazing guy! Thanks for this review!

Thank you for your comments and reaction. I was at his concert in NY. During the concert Dimash talked to his audience, was funny, humble, emotional, entertaining, down to earth, engaging, and loves his "Dears". No airs about him, he is very real!! Depending on the song he does transform himself into a different realm, but two steps back from the mic, he is back to Dimash.

My best advice to you is watch his NY concert (on Dimash's channel in 2 parts) and you can see his interaction with the crowd. He is warm, humble, gracious, funny and thoroughly appreciative of his Dears (what he calls his fans). His fan interaction off the stage is no less. First, you fall in love with the voice.. then you fall in love with his personality. I have never had the privilege of meeting him personally, tho I did have the privilege of being at the New York concert and seeing him off at the airport when he left NY. That man's aura is just bigger than life. ❤❤

My niece and I were a few days ago at his live recital in Kazan (this is Russia). 2.5 hours of the concert flew by like an instant. In addition to his magnificent amazing vocals and grandiose show, Dimash showed his human qualities, which simply fascinate and fall in love with him. He invited two children from the audience to the stage to sing and dance with him. These were the most ordinary children of the most ordinary spectators. One of the girls burst into tears from an overabundance of feelings and Dimash reassured her. Dimash always communicates with his viewer and without fear descends into the hall and shakes hands with everyone who wishes it. He shook hands with my niece, and I was ashamed to reach out. He hugged every person with disabilities whom he met on his way. My niece said that now she has no idea how to go to any other concerts, after the experience gained here, and how to wash her hands now;) Я и моя племянница были несколько дней назад на его живом сольном концерте в Казани (это Россия). 2,5 часа концерта пролетели как одно мгновение. Кроме его великолепного удивительного вокала и грандиозного шоу Димаш показал свои человеческие качества, которые просто завораживают и влюбояют в него. Он пригласил на сцену двух детей из зала, что бы петь и танцевать вместе с ним. Это были самые обыкновенные дети самых обыкновенных зрителей. Одна из девочек расплакалась от переизбытка чувств и Димаш успокаивал её. Димаш обязательно общается со своим зрителем и без опаски спускается в зал и здоровается за руку с каждым кто пожелает этого. Он пожал руку моей племяннице, а я протянуть свою руку постеснялась. Он обнял каждого человека с ограниченными возможностями, кого встречал на своём пути. Моя племянница сказала, что теперь не представляет, как ходить на какие-то другие концерты, после полученного здесь опыта, и как теперь мыть руки ;)

He is so charismatic, respectful, there is a video of an older man who made a gift for him a wooden box, and he traveled from Tennessee to NY to give it to him, he drove with his friend and he got to meet him and he was very thankful and accepted the gift, it is amazing... Я предвкушала, что так будет, ведь я сама пережила культурный шок еще в августе 2019, и получила его не на живом концерте, а у экрана монитора. В общем-то так и случилось. Джастин - музыкальный специалист, и его, прежде всего, интересовало звукообразование, звуковоспроизведение и прочее, о чем он и рассказывал. Но эмоции никто не отменял. Уже после первого куплета Джастин сказал: «ПРЕДСТАВИТЬ, ЧТО Я БЫЛ БЫ ТАМ (НА КОНЦЕРТЕ). ЕСЛИ БЫ Я ПОШЕЛ СМОТРЕТЬ ДИМАША В ПРЯМОМ ЭФИРЕ, Я БЫЛ БЫ ВЕСЬ В СЛЕЗАХ…». Особенно стал сюрпризом и потряс его до основания переход от сопрано в вокализе на тенор в куплете. От неожиданности Джастин на минуту потерял контроль над своими эмоциями. Он смотрел фрагмент, в очередной раз останавливал видео и разъяснял технику конкретного момента - как же это у Димаша так получается. Успокаивался немного. Включал видео дальше и получал следующую порцию культурного шока. @@ju1ietta совершенно согласна и не раз писала об этом под разными реакциями, за что была подвергнута бичеванию со стороны некоторых Дорогих, которые говорили: "Хочешь смотреть целостное выступление, смотри без блогера".. Муз. специалисты и не только останавливают тогда, когда их посещает какая-нибудь добрая и, прямо скажем, бывает, совершенно никчемная мысль. Они боятся забыть ее и останавливают, чтобы озвучить ее, не заботясь о целостности музыкальных фраз.

I've seen him 4 times live. The first time it was in a very small stage and I had him less than 10 meters away, he sang "All by myself" I cried during the whole performance, I don't know what an artist should think when half of his audience is crying...that was in Cannes (France) in May 2018

Yes he really reminds me a bit of Michael Jackson the way he treats his fans (dears). sooo humble, always polite, love his fans from the heart! just naturally pure and real. And yes a bit shy.. never ever dirty talk, very mature for his age. He shows so much respect for his family and proud of his country. Greatful! He was raised by his grandmother and grandfather, it is normal in his culture. The first born being raised by their grandparents. Maybe that is why he seems so mature, humble and vise. Dear Justin, just watch bits from his New York concert last December 10th like after his new version of Give Me Your Love that he composed where he interacts with one female dancer and after it is over and she is walking off the stage Dimash turns to the audience and tells them her name then says don't be jealous. During the whole concert he was also saying how much the concert in America meant to him and that he had dreamed of singing in New York and he kept saying how he loved the fans (DEARS as he calls us)

When dimash is on stage he reacts like any other singer. But when he's off he doesn't do much talking. But he very much listen to what people say and takes it all in.

7:00 minutes in, I wanna thank you for being the only vocal coach who mentions that Dimash went from that super crazy high note to singing very low without any effort or preparation. I'm usually the one who writes it in comments. The reactors don't usually notice it, or at least not enough to mention it. I hereby pronounce you more legit than the rest of them.

I watch dimash twice and he is phenomenal. He is so humble and even cried in gratefulness for the fulfillment of his dreams. His heart is genuine. He connects with everyone. He knows how to draw you to him. Dimash performance is beyond description. Theres no word to describe it. He is like a sorcerer and will bring you wherever he wants you to be. Each stroke of his hands, every sway of his body mesmerized you and you don't have any hope of getting out. When he sung love is like a dream, I thought I have levitate to a place unknown. That and was crying the whole time. The feelings lingers long after the last notes ends. I had been to too many concert with well known singers but no one could be able to evoke that feelings that dimash brought. He is like a paintor, each stroke is a masterpiece. He is like a magician, each note hypnotized you. I could go on and on but yet I haven't even touch what he really is in concert. Simple incredible, incomparable. Indescribable. You have to be there to understand what I am saying. He is a vocal wizard.

I took a flight from Mexico to see him in NY. He approached the people closes to the stage and tries to look at their faces. He's said he's doesn't have the greatest sight but wants to really SEE and connect with his dears, not just a bunch of people but each one, if you know what I mean. 💜

This absolute diamond is so amazing to listen to, to watch... off stage so humble on stage an amazing powerhouse... some people find this song creepy ( with the little girl) but I think IGOR (with Dimash as his muse) is showing the struggle we face between good and evil or maybe our struggles , but even visually we can see the choir dressed in black n singing in darker tones, the little girl almost represents innocence ....after her appearance Dimash ( dressed in white) tone becomes higher n more angelic....also the back ground is dantes inferno, so many religious and spiritual overtones, it's a saga and a brilliant one xxx

Hi Justin, Passione is pure art with a story. Did you notice the background of the stage too. It’s dark and light (demons/angels). Igor Krutoy and Dimatch are a real match😘👏and they create epic art. In real Dimash as the other Deaers wrote he’s humble, shy but he manages to give warmth and love. And to forget he’s funny too. So not only his voice and abilty is there. He has a special aura and when you here him singing live (and you’re right it touches you in the soul, you’re happy and emotional at the same time). He realy connect people from all over the world and we the dears love him. Not to forget that he always works hard and want to improve himself and stated in an interview that he needs another 15 years (as he’s still young) to improve. There’s no person and artist at the moment for me that is so great. He’s epic and one of a kind. A legend already. Thank you for your epic reaction.

Super serious, boring, no fun note nerd. That's what I thought he was when I just discovered him watching The Singer and Krutoy performances 😊. But he's not like that at all (I bet he is at times but we don't get to see that 😁) He definitely has two personalities. Off stage he's shy, unreasonably humble 😁 often still visibly amazed and confused by how people react to him. He's also goofy, funny and a jokster (on stage at his shows too actually). But, he's equally as charismatic off as he is on stage. I think his looks (I know it's a cliché but true imo, you don't get to see asian features on a tall body very often) and his cool, relaxed demeanor contribute to that a lot.
