Rebecca is a passionate Singer-Songwriter/Vocal coach/mentor /impressionist/photographer/creative junkie /self- development lover not a hater.
“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well, maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also, thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self-confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel.

What I love about this performance is the amount of incredible adlibbing that Dami does. Normally at Eurovision, artists try to stick close to their recorded version, most likely because they only have three minutes and want to represent the song in the most definitive way possible. But not Dami. She knows that people have heard the recording, she knows what she can do, so she says screw the “official” melody and just GOES FOR IT. And because she’s such a good singer, it makes the performance stand out that much more. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Now that I know this was the Saturday (finales); this was my very first time being exposed to Dami and i became an instant fan. She SANG the hell out of "Sound Of Silence" but then you go look at her catalog of songs she has done and the styles she sings and the messages behind them just pour through. yes, I agree with the Take your time a just do it as much as you can and see where it takes you. as a Kid, I would babysit my brothers and sisters because I was the oldest. so I Had NO life hahaha. But I would entertain them by singing for 6 hours EVERY day. then mom would come home and I would sing with her and her friends when the brought out the Guitars, banjos, and violins, and accordions. I was supposed to be in bed hahaha but I would sit on the steps till they would hear me and finally call me down to join them hahaha. great Memories. I would sing a minimum of 6 hours a day. Every day. wish I could have had some coaching back then hahaha. but I am looking for a singing coach now that I have the time :-) finally. hahaha

No, Ukraine was. There was something more important going on in Europe at that time. Russia invaded Krim and the public atmosphere was heavily influenced by that. The song from Ukraine touched people's hearts on a deeper level. Europe has been involved and teared apart by war in the last century. It lies in our common conscious. Eurovision has had the purpose of binding countries together throughout Europe. The whole European Union is formed to avoid wars in Europe.
