This cover is one of my favorite covers from Season 1. My favorite part is Naya's singing in this cover. At this point in Glee, Santana hadn't sung much yet so it really was a pleasant surprise to have her get a solo within a group performance and also provide notable background vocals. She really was such a versatile singer. In my opinion she was the most versatile singer in the cast I could easily name my 10 favorite covers Naya was a part of on Glee and the covers would uniquely be in at least 5 genres because she was always changing her vocals (singing in a lower register, singing in a higher register, singing with her natural raspiness, etc) which would always sound great on whichever song she was singing no matter the genre of music. Absolutely love the studio version of this cover (Naya sings more in that version which includes her singing some lyrics in French). Sometimes good/great vocal moments from the Studio Versions of the covers from Glee weren't heard/shown in the TV version of the covers because the songs/performances were edited for time.

I think they outfits are like tributes to what gaga has worn. So not all look exactly like the outfits she wears. Rachel's is inspired by the Kermit the frog outfit. All the outfits are killer. Loved all the butterflies

One thing that sprang to mind while watch that I thought you should know, is that you can't go of who there showing on camera to trying figure out who's who's mainly singing. Which is super annoying but you get to distinguish between their voices pretty well. I seem to remember noticing it with Naya alot in empire state of mind, living on a prayer and this song where she would be singing the main vocals through the song and they would focus on Rachel or others doing the Adlib or smaller parts

This performance is less risque than the roar video because it took place in season one or two and they were still establishing. The episode with roar actually quite prominently features Lady gaga again, in fact, its called Katie or gaga I believe, and it takes much bigger risks

I love it when they mix Chris (Kurt) in with the girls and this, I think, is the first time. He adds a really distinctive tone to group numbers like this. One of my favourites is Constant Craving with Naya and Idina Menzel, which I prefer to all of Idina's duets with Lea. Also fun fact, they had a lot of problems with Jenna's bubble dress as it squeaked when she moved and the balls sometimes fell off. Oh and Chris' shoes had to be custom made.
