The doubling is the room mics capturing him but his vocal mic is using pitch correction, its quite obvious even though it sounds realistic

The different samples that you're hearing Jon use at 4:57 aren't actually from any of the backup singers, it's actually samples from a song of his called Run Wild.

That double effect is coming from vocal bleed into the other mics in the room and varying mic eq’s. On Jon’s a cappella/acoustic performances they record live with multiple vocalists in the room 👌🏼 you can hear it again in other instances when backed up from their assigned mics (for example that first “baaah dumbpum bah dumpum” part has the same artifact going on)

Don't know if someone already mentioned in the comments. But that's what happens when you have a soft tuner on your live vocal. On loud notes you hear the untuned note bleed trough the other mics on top of his tuned signal. Creating that chorus effect ;) Obviously Jon doesn't need it but just uses it as a cool effect. It's a real art to sing so precisely that the tuner catches every note in his riffs!
