@@IGleeker thats actually not true ive read that bts were one of the first senior groups to actually bow and treat newer groups with respect also bts have said before that older groups looked down on them and many newer groups said they were surprised how polite and respectful bts were to them because most seniors arent like that to hoobaes. so while yes it is part of the culture there are some who think theyre better than others and wont do it. maybe not in public but when cameras arent on them some dont. but many people in the industry have said bts bow regardless of who you are even to staff that isnt their own and even when cameras arent on because thats just the kind of people they are.

I am Korean Army and in my culture, bowing is the traditional and the respectful way to greet people. There are several situations where you bow to other people, but here's a few: #1 when you say hello and goodbye to people who are older, to your bosses and to acquaintances. You don't bow to your friends of same age. #2 You bow to say thank you when someone does something nice for you, for example when someone has you over for a meal whether you seat down at a table or they hand you a plate of food, you thank then by bowing and saying thank you in Korean. Anytime, someone does something nice for you, like opening the door for you or giving up their seat for you and etc., you bow and say thank you.

As for the other idols staring and admiring BTS, in my opinion, I think it's not just for their voices, their looks or their dance skills, but it is the combination of all of that plus their global recognition. It's the latter that has the bigger impact on these idols because all these idols can sing, dance and are good-looking. BTS is the biggest international group. They are the 1st Korean and the 1st Asian group to win awards globally, 1st to win several awards in AMA including Artist of the Year and 1st to be nominated twice for Grammy. BTS use to be underdogs from a small company that almost went bankrupt. They were laughed at and told many times that they would fail. They worked hard crafting their skills, making meaningful music that touched the hearts of people all around the world, and their fandom the BTS ARMY grew to encompasses vast number of people from all different countries, cultures, languages and age. It's this global recognition and dominants that these idols can no longer deny or ignore, and they are in awe of BTS. They all want to be like BTS and they all want to achieve the same kind of success that BTS has, but they know they won't all be successful. They are looking at BTS to see what is their key to success!

I think its fair to say that everyone would be star struck. They have become huge and Korean culture is big on respect giving and politeness. You sneak a glance, you stare, you bow, I like it. In the West we would be loud, patting their backs, getting into their personal space. That "staring at JK" segment was quite sweet. The guy next to him just could´t help it, lol. Jungkook has been mentioned over and over as an ultimate inspiration by ton of Idols and other Hybe trainees. National treasure of South Korea, that´ts his middle name lol. No wonder when you end up in such close proximity to him, you lose it :-)

This is more a light-hearted compilation for entertainment than a factual and accurate representation of events. Whilst a lot of the other idols do genuinely admire and look up to BTS, and understandably so, the interactions in the video are obviously taken out of context, edited and compiled in a way to dramatise the whole thing and portray things in a certain light. All is good and well so long as people don't take these too seriously and start analysing things or pushing certain narratives. In this compilation, the creator hasn't really focused on shipping idols or anything too controversial so I think it can be taken in the light-hearted way that I'm the sure the creator intended for it to be. Also, bowing is a form of greeting people in Korea and is a cultural norm. Whilst some people of a higher status tend not to bow to people who they may see as younger or lower in status etc, BTS have always bowed as they are humble kings and know how it feels to be mistreated and undervalued in the industry - also just because they have basic manners and Korean etiquette! 💜

It is really a fantastic culture in Korea and in other South Asian countries. In India, we respect elders and seniors by bowing down to them and placing our hands and head on their feet.. This is not only a culture; it is also good manners that help you to lower your ego. It helps you develop the mindset that we are not superior to anyone. Feel blessed to be an Asian.

There is some legitimate fan girl/boy moments in this video (mostly The Boys) but most of it is just wrong & taken out of context. Mamamoo in the 2nd instance were actually looking at the big screen not BTS, Blackpink was watching the other groups walk out on stage just like BTS were doing & (G)Idle were looking at where the current performer was on stage. Even with The Boys you have to remember that this moment was captured only a year after they debuted & BTS were well into their 5th year so for some of them BTS would have been their inspiration to even become an idol. The sweetest thing about this is that The Boys actually got to meet & take photos with BTS at the end of the award show.

I understand because you are vocal coach. You have inclination to bts as musicians. But why bts have a fandom like army not just lie in the voice. If really want to know why bts exploded at this rate, you have consider all the sides. Because there are many musicians and kpop groups who have incredible voices in all over the world. Then why bts? The answer to that question lies in the other sides. Because they are involved in army's life not only in one way. Many different ways. Their amazing vocal talent is only one among it. But bts are much more than that. They are researches done on bts by professors. May be you can watch that. Understanding them is the first step of loving them.

while i would also love to believe all these idols are just spending their time staring at bts.... most of the time there are different screens at these award shows that the idols look at for a better view of the stage and that's what they're glancing at. There's always another wider angle of the moment that shows them simply looking at some screen. People love to use these glances at screens that happen to be beyond other celebs to start shipping idols together (like "omg they're staring at this person") and it's honestly sad
