He is a really talented singer, dancer and composer. He composes his music himself and has made an album "Selfocracy". It is so incredibly tied to our reality. I adore his album. He was also part of the Eurovision Song Contest. He even produced a short musical film of about 30 minutes. I WAS SO HOPEFUL THAT THE NEW ALBUM WOULD HAVE MORE FRENCH SONGS. So frustrating that it isn't, but I know he's explained that he doesn't write songs in French as it feels too vulnerable to do. BUT I LOVE HIM SINGING IN HIS ORIGINAL LANGUAGE, as singing in French he doesn't have to try so hard to match his accent in his singing.

Your observation on this artist was as astute as the song itself. You have some deep waters, Tara. I think as a society the United States music industry is sleeping on these international artists. In many ways, I think it (and through extension us as United States citizens) have become insular, by ignoring the contribution of the worldwide music scene, and is in dire risk of becoming stale. Thank goodness we have platforms like KZbin to break us out of our shell. And now that your channel has grown so much, you and other musicians/singers can help people break out of their musical apathy with using your platform to educate and inspire us. Many times, we don't know what we are missing until we hear it. Dimash, Nightwish, Hua Chenyu, the Hu, Loïc and many others - They can enrich our lives by their technical artistry as well as emotional and intellectual depth.

But you're correct, he's insanely insanely talented. If the video isn't blocked in your country, his performance at Eurovision (Rhythm Inside) live is a good one to watch. Pronunciation: LOW-ik No-TAY -- he is absolutely AMAZING! Came 4th representing Belgium at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest (his song "Rhythm Inside" was and is amazing!) after getting 2nd on Belgium's version of "The Voice" in 2014 (but he still wasn't really all that well known across Europe at the time, so his placement was a big surprise) -- He just has such vision and passion in everything he does! I discovered him through a viral video where he was singing "Chandelier" in a dance studio room practicing for a performance, and he was being taped and didn't know it -- and he was just emotionally BELTING like I'd never heard a young man do it before, and he's just continued to grow his talent -- his album "Selfocracy" is AMAZING and his second album "Candy" is just INSANE, he released a 30 minute short film for it (that contains all 5 songs from the record) on Halloween and it's absolutely "Thriller" for a new generation! He's still only 23! I think the reason he's not a bigger star is because in Europe music stars don't typically "think big" as far as wanting to be a success across the world and European music people don't really make the effort in sharing music with others, especially here in the US (I think there's a perception that our music industry in the US generates so many of our own stars that there's no room for European ones to find success here, but I COMPLETELY DISAGREE, I listen to WAY MORE music from European/Eurovision related artists than I listen to music from artists here -- there's also a perception that artists who have competed in Eurovision are "tainted" because the contest is seen as cheesy)
