Morrisette could win any Voice, Idol, Got Talent contest in any and every country. It's why they don't let her compete. Also, as others have commented, there are other lesser known, but talented Philippina singers who would fair well.

She actually was in the Philippine version of one of those three (don't remember which one) when she was in her teens. It was how she met her husband because he was a contestant as well. I agree with you though and am completely shocked she didn't win the competition. Her versions of Rise Up, Never Enough, Halo and I Want to Know What Love Is are simple amazing and bring tears to my eyes every time I listen to them. And yes, I have a Morissette playlist with my favor songs that she sings! Two other songs I love that she does are You Are the Reason and Could You Be Messiah. Absolutely amazing! She is one of the best overall singers I have ever listened to in my 59 years!

😱 I thought for sure that I had subscribed years ago when you started reacting to PTX but somehow it turns out that I haven’t or somehow got unsubbed? I just remedied it! Really love your analyses. Have you checked out SB19 yet? They’re a Filipino group of singers/rappers/dancers and I think you’ll really like them and dissecting what they’re doing vocally, especially in their ballads and even in their dance tracks. I highly recommend their Wish Bus performances of “Mapa”, “Liham”, and “I Want You”. Also their impromptu performance of “Ilaw” in Rappler-they were standing up for that one! They have a lot of great live performances but those are what I’d recommend you start with!

I agree with you, Morissette's hallmark vocal techniques (squeaks, cries and growls) makes her unique and different from many other belters like her. "It's really what makes Morissette sounds like Morissette" 🥰 And this video was done 7 years ago. I recommend her latest live performances of "Imagine More" -- a Disney-written song for her -- and "Colour Everywhere" -- a remake of a late 90's song originally sung by American country singer Deana Carter. I love this rendition, but the recent one *probably last year, not sure) where she's singing this while playing the piano and with the orange background and aesthetics, it's just pure bliss. You can tell how her voice became even fuller and improved so much over the years. If by any chance, you want something recent, she just uploaded a live performance of her own song under Disney entitled "Imagine More". That was a very fantastic performance!
