One Ok Rock (Japanese: ワンオクロック, Hepburn: Wan Oku Rokku) is a Japanese rock band, formed in Tokyo, Japan, in 2005. Originally five members, the band currently consists of vocalist Takahiro Moriuchi, guitarist and bandleader Toru Yamashita, bassist Ryota Kohama, and drummer Tomoya Kanki.

One Ok Rock is one of the best rock bands in the world, not just in Japan. Though Japan seems to be putting out more quality than anyone the last few years. Taka is level with any other vocalist out there.

Ive followed one ok rock sense 2010. Seen how they developed over the years and they never cease to amaze me with their individual skills and their productions. This song does give me a Christian rock praise feel. Sadly they are now falling into the typical Japanese copyright strike issue that plagues some of my favorite bands...

I don't know if you've heard of an old metal band called X-Japan. They also had a fantastic vocalist. It's not the same vibe as One Ok Rock, but both bands are amazing. I recommend the songs: Tears, Forever Love, Say Anything and Endless Rain.

I feel like One Ok Rock rather than drawing from something like religion, it draws out the good in people because a lot of their songs have messages, some very powerful. We Are and Stand Out Fit In come to mind instantly as examples of this. Their music has mostly come off as empowering, empathizing, and at least to me in a weird way, motivating. As in to be a better individual. An example for empathizing for me would be Be the Light. It was a song they did after a tsunami happened in Fukushima if i recall right.

Not Christian Rock at all but I get what you mean Beth. It's that kind of music your praising and adoring someone/something. In this case we can say they're praising themselves, himself or even yourself. We Are is just like that. Maybe a little bit darker but they are praising. So that's why I get what you mean. Not the same genre but the same intention. Maybe you would like The Beginning too. Try it!
