As a sugababes fan, I would be more pumped for the 1st line up getting back together if they did a documentary like take that & steps did. All 6 talking about the sugababes, all truthful stories to why they left etc, what happen between them & all 6 facing each other at the end. There must be so much we don’t know as all we got told was media trained stories.

Jade is a pretty strong singer, but her voice lacks discernable character. You hear Keisha and you know it's her instantly.

I felt really sorry for Jade during this line up. She’s an amazing vocalist but that got completely overshadowed with the drama of how Keisha left/was forced out of the band.

I'll start by saying, I never took to this version of the Sugababes. Jade clearly outsings the other two and they are clutching to show they can hold their own but it's painful to listen to. This is probably why this lineup didn't last long, they were not cumming across as a group with their vocals

As soon as Keisha went so did that distinctive sugababes sound. Like No More You on Sweet 7, such a brill song and theres a version with Keishas vocal floating around and with her on it sounds like a Sugababes Ballad but with Jades vocal it's a different band for me. Was a fan since Overload but since Keisha went so did I, never really warmed to Amelle. I'd love a four piece or that Heidi makes surprise appearences.

@@kazbartv Yup! Siobhan was there only for an album but she was, along with Mutya, one of the "two" initial founders. There wouldn't be the group without the first line-up and that's a fact. Amelle recorded three albums with them, of which two were flops, in fact only "Change" did good.

Jade made the biggest mistake ditching her solo career for the Sugababes. I'm sure she thought it was the best career move because of the Sugababe's massive success and popularity but the group was fizzling before Keisha was ousted and there was just zero chance they were going to survive it. If they had renamed the group and went away from the Sugababes name, they may have done well.

Jade is the best vocally, why they probably needed someone with her vocal ability to replace Keisha. Jade carried this song. The Sugababes are famous for their harmonies and their unique sounds , Keisha and Mutya brought that uniqueness and then Siobhan and Heidi balanced it out. Amelle is husky but not anything like Mutya - She more a generic singer and definitely sang the newer Sugababes songs better rather than the older songs. Heidi can't carry the group or Amelle and I think Jade has the talent to lead, but not as distinctive as Keiaha, at this stage the lineup changes had taken it toll, they had lost their identity. it would be interesting to see Jade, Mutya and Keisha perform this song. For me the best line up commercially was Heidi Keisha Mutya, but vocally they are stronger as the original group with Siobhan. Jade is a great singer 👏

I don't think Jade should have sacrificed her solo career for this tepid line up. She's too strong and too talented to just try and rewrite an established history, when she's way good enough to forge her own. When you hear MKS sing this - DAMN. The original 3 knock it out of the park, they get the harmonies perfectly. I just find this line up poor, stilted and buckling at every turn. Just my opinion - take it or leave it.

Jade Ewen is a legend. She is a very underrated singer and represented the UK in the Eurovision contest of 2009 with the song It's My Time. Plus she has a discography prior to joining the Sugababes. Also she sings in Aladdin the Musical. Far better than Keisha and her squeaky sounds.

Jade is undeniably a better singer than Mutya, Keisha, Heidi, Siobhan and Amelle all combined, they can't out-sing her, not even if they unite all of their voices. None of the other girls could ever dream to face Jade's song "It's My Time" and that great difficult final high note. However she's not a legend whatsoever, not certainly iconic, I'm afraid to say not even famous.

Jade is such a great singer, she delivers powerful vocals like a good solo artist and that's why it didn't fit with the essence of Sugababes which is more about harmonies between sexy/soft voices. Amelle's voice fits better to the band but it gives more a rock touch then the rnb Mutya brings.

I tend to agree. Amelle I thought was often rather flat when live and I wondered how much she might have been brought in due to having a similar-ish look to Mutya. Heidi is fine, but I never got the impression she had much range. Jade is a good singer in her own right, but to me, she never got that good at group work.

As Amelle and Mutya both have "asian" heritage, although very different ones. On the other hand, I always thought Amelle does sound pretty similar to Mutya. Like I said before, the harmonies in this line up were pretty messy in the beginning... like too loud and just... nót in harmony, however it does get better eventually! There are some live performances of ‘about a girl’ the first ever single to come out with Jade if i’m not wrong and there are some live versions of which everything seems out of place, like you said: 3 solo artists but eventually the love performances really improve luckily

I've been following your videos on the sugababes since the beginning and I'm a little bit disappointed that you've been biased throughout. You obviously like the original line up best as you've only picked good/better performances for them.
