Zhavia Ward is an LA based singer who recently turned 18 yo. A couple years ago, she was accepted into OC Hit Factory, a place to write, record, collaborate among other new singing artists. OC Hit Factory is owned and run by her manager Thomas Barsoe. Late 2017, a new LA show held auditions around including at OC Hit Factory. Zhavia tried out and they wanted her, she finally agreed and was the 2nd contestant on Fox's The Four: Battle for Stardom primetime singing competition show. She won 'a seat' her first night and appeared on all 8 episodes, coming in 2nd runner up. Zhavia signed with Columbia Records early May '18 and was featured on Deadpool 2 soundtrack by Diplo and video Welcome to the Party with French Montana and Lil Pump. I love that Zayn was chosen for this version, this was really perfect for him. I would’ve liked to see someone else paired with him though, no hate to Zhavia. Sia and Zayn worked well together in the past, and I felt like it would’ve been a more seamless blend. I felt it was a bit choppy personally, their voices are just so different that I had a hard time getting into it. I’m glad they have this more modern version though!
