Thank you for this reaction. You said everything i like about Mori's voice. Her low notes, her thick and dark tone, her mid belts, her high notes, the transitions to different register. jocriss Morissette was a guest at Capital records in the USA Rhett Lawrence has stated on an interview that Morissette has a 5.5 range and is way better than Mariah. He should know he was the producer that made Mariah. I agree ! Morissette will be recording at Capital this year. Google Morissette and watch all her performances then comment. I have been following her for a little over two years this phenomenal singer range has been widening every year. She is fearless and hardworking and a perfectionist when it comes to her music. There was no free ride for this baby girl every time she lost she took it as an opportunity to improve her singing skills. I am not a Filipino so no bias just stating facts. There is a video of Morissette singing in the 5 octave when I find it I will put up link.

Morissette to me is mostly known for her whistle sound (which we didn't get to hear in this video, but you can clearly hear in "Morissette - Akin Ka Na Lang"). I was expecting to hear her do it here as well, but she didn't. Still a great performance. She's a great singer.

From what people say Morissette’s voice is 4 octaves & 2 notes. I gave no idea what those mean. All I know is I like listening to music. The vocal breaks, again what people say, are intentional. She uses them to as part of her distinctive style.

Morissette my favorite female vocalist. Now for my favorite ballad vocalist in the WORLD. He’s from Korea and when you hear this love song by him you will be transported to the celestial realm. It’s a live performance from his Happy Together concert and I’ve listen to it over 10 times and each time I’m moved to my depths and am speechless. If you still have a beating heart and soul you will become ( like millions of others worldwide ) a rabid fan and want to hear more. And there’s plenty more to discover. By the way he is a living legend in Korea and when he announces an upcoming concert, it is SOlD OUT in less than 15 minutes ( 30,000 avid fans) He has the most emotionally impactful purist voice in the world and the song I am going to reveal is a love song from his Happy concert titled “ it’s you” ( sung in Korean with English subtitles so you will be able to follow). Hey, who has classified her as a light lyric soprano? It's not so easy to do so when she's so good technically. OK, so she was not 100% in this performance but still impressed me so much! I wouldnt even know she was fighting flue if you didn't tell me. Is there any video of AKIN KA NA LANG that include the English subtitles? I downloead the videos, react to them and then editit it. Morissette's voice has more depth than these 2 artist I've mentioned above. Fyi, Morissette has 4.61/2 octave compared of 4.2 octave when she's just started coming out from the limelight few years ago. She just turned 22 last June 2. Her vocal styles includes: *sustained long notes, whistles, vocal breaks, vocal squeaks and growls.* Her midbelts are pristine because of her resonance. According to some Filipino channels her lowest range is B2 but not supported. Hope as she reaches her prime she'll improve more. Morissette knows fully how to use her instruments. She's a very smart young Singer. I adore her a lot. I've been following Morissette for more than 1 year ( June 2017 ) now. Wish Bus introduced me to Mirissette with her cover song *SECRET LOVE SONG* and I fell in love with her beautiful tone plus the vocal breaks she puts into the song that makes her unique. She has the power ( Midbelts ) of Whitney Houston, whistles of Mariah Carey, the growsl of Christina Aguilera, vocal breaks of Sia and Jessie J. One of her biggest influencers are Mariah Carey and her local icon Asia's Song Bird Regine Velasquez. @@spotontv7878 Her low notes are disconnected (below G3) and her belts are distorted above F5. She has more depth than Ariana but not So Hyang - an authentic Lyric Soprano. A lyric soprano has a warm and bright quality sound and approximately has high tessituras. Morissette always sound youthful (maybe because her voice is not YET matured) when she's not lowering her larynx or mixing with too much chest.
