Floor's cover of this song reminds me of a car that can go 200 mph choosing to go 20 mph. All the power and potential is there, but it's restrained. The "belting" parts of the song has Floor hitting her gas peddle a little to rev the engine, but then she returns to the restraint. Great reaction and analysis. Subscribed.

Before Floor cam on BesteZangers I was told that she was not that well known in the Netherlands .. Metal not popular. The singer Tim knew her from before and Mr Port also knew of her. Now .. the day after this was shown, the song went to #1 on the iTunes Netherlands charts with something like 190,000 downloads. My guess .. is that she is no longer .. unknown. That is a good thing. :)

kinda. We have a healthy Metal scene in The Netherlands, and they certainly have heard of her, but unlike say in finland, the dutch metal scene is completely disconnected from mainstream media, radio etc. Only when specific metal is incredibly popular will you hear it on the radio (like in the Nu-metal era with Korn, Limp Bizkit etc.) and even then not that much. What this show has done, is expose her to the mainstream audience, which is awesome! I think a lot of new Nightwish fans will come from this, I doubt the metal will beome more attached to the mainstream unfortunately, as it will still be seen as that strange dark niche. I wish it wasn't like that, but it is.

If I turned off the Closed-Captioning and even if I turn your volume off completely I could still watch you faces give one of the best reaction and reviews for this video I have seen. Bravo and well done, you looked as stunned as even her many die-heart fans who just can believe her performances on this TV show. Look at the other professional singers each week they still look shocked or stunned when Floor performs, and as Ann our favorite Nightwish commentator always says...And then there is Floor!!!! The original of this song was a great duet by Lady Gaga and Bradley, here Floor takes it and makes it the 2.0 Floor version that is equally beautiful and a great song although it is very different! Who would think the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal would sing a song softer than the Lady Gaga version!!!!

I've never watched a reaction video through subtitles before. But, for Floor I do it. I hope you react to more of her music she sings as part of the band Nightwish which is a Symphonic Metal band. Please react to live concert versions of the songs because the life version is such a journey that they take you on. Going to a Nightwish concert is an experience like no other.
