I'm no vocal coach....but in my 68 years have heard MANY amazing vocalists and in 2018 came across this girl singing the Rise-Up cover on the WISH bus....and sorry , Mariah , Beyoncé , Barbra , Celine , but in all aspects, technically, this girl is the the best female vocalist on the planet today. She is a complete performer that is at the TOP of my list.

She lost out in the voice Philippines singing a Jessie j song WHO YOU ARE, she said she hated that song after she lost singing it, fast forward to when she was 17 she got the opportunity to interview Jessie before her concert and was asked if she could sing, obviously Morissette said yes and was asked to sing a part of a song, after doing so Jessie said you have to come on stage and sing with me, you've guessed it, she sang WHO YOU ARE. with Jessie and the rest is history, to me she is the greatest FEMALE ARTIST out there, the one and only ASIA'S PHOENIX MORISSETTE AMON LAMAR 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

Aside from what you pointed out, one of my favorite aspects of her singing is how she maintains her characteristic round, rich, full timbre into her upper belts. I LOVE that and imho it's one of the things that sets her apart. Please also react to Times Morissette Amon PROVED She Doesn't need a Microphone. @@markjosephgentil953 I've been following OPM since the early 90s. imo Charice was better than Morissette at a younger age, but Morissette caught up to and surpassed her several years ago. I'm talking as a vocalist, not about who was more famous. And that's not meant to take anything away from Charice's talent or accomplishments. She deserves every bit of accolades she's ever received and is rightfully a legend of the Filipino music industry.

Jessie J did in fact have her in her concert years ago. Let's just say it was stunning and she was a baby Mori. Speaking of Jessie with Morissette, actually they did an impromptu performance when Jessie had her concert here in the Philippines years ago. I don't know the exact story, but I think Morissette was one of Jessie's background singer. Jessie invited her to sing with her on stage and history just happened. You guys should check it out. I think you should watch her recent Love You Still (Sunset version) vid. A very emotional version of the song, which tells her broken relationship with her father (who denies her marriage). Morissette is much more than just a belting monster.

If you react to Mori and Jessie J singing Who You Are, the backstory makes it more meaningful. JJ was in the Philippines for a concert and Mori was a TV reporter at the time and still trying to get her music career going. Mori was assigned to interview JJ before the concert. During the interview, JJ discovered that Mori was a singer, Mori sang for her impromptu, and JJ invited Mori to sing at her concert. At the concert, JJ invites Mori to join her on stage and Mori joins the background singers for a minute to get comfortable before JJ invtes her forward. It is fun to watch the background singers jaws drop when the hear the young Mori sing. Mori had previously sung Who You Are on the Voice of the Phiippines which was not considered a popular song choice and widely thought to have contributed to Mori being eliminated. The irony is that Mori's singing it with JJ a bit later greatly helped to elevate Mori's career.
