Has she arrived? A long time ago and now the masses will take notice. Her angels have been loyal and always there for her and now it's time to gather in all those who haven't discovered her yet. No question, Rofer, she's at the top of her game right now and here we go entering into a new phase of her life and career. And, of course, behind it all is 'who she is' as a beautiful, kind, caring and loving human being. Members of her family are very much connected with each other and that has remained a constant her entire life. You hinted you think someday she will be on the Big Screen. Yes, I agree, and I'll go a step further, she'll probably be nominated for an Academy Award and wind up winning an Oscar. But, I really don't want to look too far ahead because I want to cherish each moment that all of us can enjoy being 'with her' in the present and continue to extend our love to her as she has to us. What a beautiful story...........

I love the Elvis expressions! They're really uncanny! She does the same lip curl in the rearview mirror of the Porsche in "Love Don't Let Me Go." I can also see the same "Elvis look" in the way she smiles and laughs, especially when she was between 12-15, not to mention her charismatic stage presence. Elvis may have left the building, but I think Angelina bought the deed to it!

I'm always amazed about how people assume, or pretend to assume that children, not to speak about teenagers, don't feel these kinds of emotions and experiences, must have to do with the concept of "innocence" of children... But of course they do... My first love was a girl named Billie, we were about 8 years old at the time and I adored her and was sure she was the most beautiful girl in the world - I still have a photograph showing me and her at a friend's birthday party, we're sitting next to each other on a bench and I have my arm around her shoulders and I'm looking proud as a king... Can't remember how and why exactly our relationship ended... and later, during my adolescence I was more or less constantly either in love or heartbroken... C'mon, she's nearly 18, she has been surrounded by boys and men all the time, why wouldn't she have fallen in love and been disappointed? Of course it is another thing to be able to write really good lyrics about this, but I'm quite sure it comes from her own experience... In a recent interview she said something along the lines that boys suck and she's better off without them, focussing on her music... Don't worry, she will fall in love again and be heartbroken again like we all do, it's deeply human...

The visuals in this add so much to the song, Imo. I have never seen her so animated with her movements & facial expressions. It's just stunning & is one of the reasons this is my favorite song on the EP. Maybe I'll change my mind when she does music videos for the last 4 songs. I already love the songs & seeing her sing them will make them even better.

Angelina is, at any time, able to channel emotions that don't actually come from her own life's experiences, but do come from her musical mentor Billie Holiday. No other artist is held in the esteem that Angelina has placed Billie, for she has actually stated that there would not be Angelina Jordan today if not for Billie. Billie struggled through a life of heartache that reached the pinnacle in her life when she found out her father died when hospitals in the south refused to treat 'Blacks'. Then she read a poem titled 'Strange Fruit' and she turned it into a song that was banned throughout the south, for it was about 'Blacks' being hung dead from trees. She was born to a 13 year old prostitute, had no musical mentors, but still reached the nightclubs of Harlem where she was crowned 'Queen Of Jazz', as the most improvisational singer of all time. This is where Angelina channels the emotions from that she displays in heartfelt ballads.

You get it man. I have my criticisms of the EP,, I find it a little too production heavy, at times for me it overwhelms her vocals. This song/video is definitely the exception, for me it's the best thing she's ever done.

I feel that you are wrong....when I was seventeen I had already had my heart broken.....and I was not stunning...not even overly mature. I am sure this song comes from experience....the whole episode is about the development of the same theme and the title is old enough. She is certainly NOT a little girl anymore.
