This song is her most emotional song in my opinion. When you hear the backstory to it, it makes sense why its a sad song. Beautiful tribute. French or English, her vocals puts a tear to my eyes. A testament to the power of music especially her vocals, that can paint a picture and bring emotions to its lyrics. That wailing echo she does in the end is a powerful thing.

This isn't going to be about Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey but I'm going to tell you what, never have either of them ever affected me like that. That was one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. It's not always about singing with the most power It's about connecting with the song. Ironically Celine Dion emotes but doesn't often connect to her songs to this degree but because it was her niece I think it's a one-of-a-kind performance.

Not sure this woman is human. Her gift is absolutely bone-chilling. Celine is the perfect combination of vocalist and singer, at its maxed out level, reimagined into something purely divine! I listen to the greats all the time, and I still have never heard a songstress do what Celine can do so effortlessly and so consistently. She is a gem that I truly believe is not given the credit she genuinely deserves. God bless the Queen, Celine.

The song "Fly" was dedicated to her niece Carine who died in Celine's arms with Cystic Fibrosis. Since then Celine has donated probably millions of dollars to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of her niece.

I've always loved that song. Her song Colour of my love is mine and my husband's song. I always played it and sang it for him. He passed in 2015 and it will always be an awesome memory I cherish to this day.

I was in the audience in 2016 in Paris when she finished the concert with an acapella version of Vole (the french version of Fly)... it was incredible, especially in the context of her husband passing away just a few months prior... she was singing with tears in her eyes, and I bet everybody in the arena was crying with her... Their mother sits next to their sister Celine (Liette - Karine's mother). The crying man visible twice is Celine's brother (Michel), next to him is their sister (Denise) and at the very end, when Oprah is wiping her tears, their brother (Paul) is visible wiping a tear as well 🥺🥺🥺 Oprah surprised Celine and invited her to the studio of Celine's parents and her thirteen siblings. Celine knew she would sing this song and it must have been emotionally difficult for her... it's hard to imagine the emotions she experienced while singing "Fly" among her closest family who suffered this loss (especially Karine's mother) 🥺🥺🥺 And this performance... no matter what I write, it won't be able to describe what I really think about it... it was absolutely beautiful
