This song was written just after Freddie became aware that his condition was terminal but he didn't want the world to know yet. The mask AJ wears at the beginning is to acknowledge that. While she can't replicate Freddie in all his songs, there is a 'mash-up' on KZbin where the two performances are alternated and AJ hangs in there almost note for note. Freddie Mercury was one of the most powerful, gifted singers of his time and Angelina gives him props with this Freddie-style performance. Thanks for the reaction.

Angelina was certainly in Queen mode as a 13 year old. In the cover of Sam Smith that she did her grandma filmed the family taking a limo from the airport to the strip. Angelina just had an overnight bag, probably taking in a show, it just happens that Queen with Adam Lambert were running a show there (2018), maybe it inspired her to take on these iconic songs...

"that was something different" How many times we have said this when listening to something new from Angelina. I like what you said about listening. Something that Angelina was long before she was an excellent singer was an excellent listener. She seems to hear things in songs that others miss. This is why she is able to cover unique artists like Amy and Lana. When others try to cover those two, I feel like they weren't listening closely enough to the original artist. Angelina hears all the little details that make them unique, and it allows her to honor their sound and style, while still making it her own.

Another comment, she has performed every genre, little Yodel in Bang Bang, there was a song can't remember the name where there was fast talking in the beginning, proving she could Rap if she wanted, did Easy Listing, "Sway". Indeed this is not "typical" Angelina. Of course, her other Queen cover (Bohemian Rhapsody) was a VASTLY different take on that song. So, as she always does, she made this song her own. And that, I believe, is the mark of a true musical genius. Thanks for the reaction!

The thing I have noticed about Angelina is from the very first when one of the judges said “you are your music“ and no matter what she’s singing you can see the music inside of her that it’s not just coming from her vocal cords but her whole body becomes the music and you can feel the pain for instants in one run in Bohemian Rhapsody you can just totally be immersed in the pain that she’s feeling when she says she doesn’t want to die and wishes she had never been born.

One of the benefits of watching reactions is being able to yet again listen to a performance that is, in this case, one that is special. She did all the right things when singing this, but most of all is the ending. It is a real treat for me that she occasionally holds a note at the end for longer than seems humanly possible. Sadly, Angelina’s paternal grandfather died in March 2018 and her maternal grandfather died in November 2019. Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to Jazz at early age. If you want to hear something really interesting, you shoud check out Ella Maria. She won Norwegian stars, witch is a competition for established artist, but she wad the only one that was an armatur. She is a samic, young woman and sjaman, and only 50.000 people know that language. The song she won with is called Maze.

Valerie is a spiritual person who, in her musical appraisal work, wisely only passes on basic necessary snippets from her deep well of knowledge. To do more would only invoke ridicule and in any event such is arguably unnecessary. One day Angelina will hopefully write a book on how she channels from the spirit world, and - if she explores such - maybe also revealing her previous incarnations. Great reaction and analysis ! Angelina's take on this song was wonderful she added a few different nuances, inflections and different tone qualities to make it beautiful ! She can deliver such great covers by her inherent unique vocal abilities ! She is still experiencing and developing her vocal techniques ! I believe I read that the mask is from her Grandmothers artwork. I put this performance up at the top with a couple dozen others that I feel are all too close to be called my favorite. Thank you! I'm so glad I decided to go grey. It's not for everyone but it is for me. I only have grey streaks around my face but the rest of my hair is brown. I love my hair now. The hardest part is the grow out. I got a few negative comments at first but not any more.
