Thank you for reacting to Hua Chenyu's "Child." [Hua comes before Chenyu.] This beautiful song is a cover, and he didn't change it much. A lonely child repeats "Are you home?" in the chorus, and I think he relates to that story. His parents divorced when he was very young, his mother moved out, and his father worked long hours, often coming home after Hua had put himself to bed. But the song also means whatever it means to you! Thanks again for your review and reaction.❤️🌸🌸

I think the lyrics are about when you grow up, you finally find what you are looking for is actually what you have already owned. Are you lost? You are already home. "The ones that are waiting and have flown away, are so much alike; the ones that are thinking about and seeking for are so much alike", means you finally find out that when you are lost as you pursue your desire, the most cherished thing is actually your childhood. It could also mean everyone is always like a child. In Chinese literature, scene description is widely used to imply emotions or build an atmosphere. Many items like flower, dead leaves, carriage, sunset are symbols for the flow of time, and some sentences describe the “child”：innocent (little baby), confident when tight stoes (as a child before leaving home), never gives up when facing the "messy buildings" (as an adult in the complicated society), they are the child in different stage of growing.

Hua Hua ( Hua Chenyu's nickname ) is the best story teller undoubtedly. His emotions come from his inner soul, that's why he can deeply touch the audience every time. His voice control is at a very high level. The last high note is extremely incredible. Indeed this performance is a perfect example. Thank you for your insightful comments. More of him pls.

First that is my favourite song because it kind of related to me. The song is written by him and is all about his childhood. His parent was separated when he is 2 years old and of cause child need love from parent. He stay with his dad and find it hard growing up without the parent love. His dad is so busy working and have no time for him causing him into depression. He also sing another song which related to his depression call "I Really Want to Love This World" from Mar Concert and you can actually see him break down. What a performant

Hua is his surname and it means flower in Chinese. With the Chinese language they always say peoples names with the surname first followed by the first name so the correct way to say his name is Hua Chenyu. His nickname and the name most commonly used by friends and fans alike is Hua Hua (flower flower). I am not sure who came up with that or even why but it is the name everyone uses when speaking about him or even to him and he seems to like it so Hua Hua it is.

Hi hi. Just to point out that 'Hua' in this case doesn't mean 'flower'. It has the same pronunciation as 'flower'. Mandarin is a complicated language. The Chinese character for the surname is 华 as in Huawei- the Chinese technology company. The character for 'flower' is 花. Hua Chenyu's nickname is 花花- double flowers. If I remember correctly, I read somewhere that that name was the name of a beloved doggie in the school or university Hua attended. His friends always joked about it.

@@fungmeiho2976 I am just going by what Hua Hua and his handler on the show (the same guy that was with him during Superboy) said in the first episode he was on (episode 4). They were talking about how his last name was flower and that was why his handler was wearing a flower pin on his jacket. Right before Hua Hua went on stage for his first performance they showed him and his people backstage and when they heard the crowd starting to chant "Hua Hua", "Hua Hua" his handler started chanting "flower flower" in English. I am not Chinese and do not understand any dialect of the Chinese language but it seems to me that Hua Hua and his handler believe it means "flower flower".

HCY tells that a voice for him is an instrument, the same like a piano, base or drums. He even did not completed the full course of singing at the Conservatory of Music because he did not have any intention to be a singer singing someone's songs. He went to Berklee to study a rap but discovered that it is useless for Mandarin. He studied a music theory there.

I guess the story for this song is about his childhood. His parents divorced when he was a child. He lived with his dad. His dad is a businessman and very busy with his work. Hua was along by himself most of the time. He was waiting his dad come to accompany him. Is he home yet? Are you tired?How was your trip?He tied his shoes read to go out with his dad. He open door slightly and look far away to see if dad is coming home. Hope everyone understands his song.
