Mori chose Dave over the objections of her father. She gave up everything to be with him. Everything she earned she gave it all to her parents. And even when they're not on speaking terms, she built a house for her family. I'm not clear on why her family initially disliked him for her but I truly see that Dave loves her and supports her. He's a singer, too but he's content to be in the background writing music for her, using all of his creativity to bring the best of Mori for us to see. At this point, it's just pride that's stopping her family and it's sad to see her walk down the aisle alone.

I think ..i mean this is from what I’ve heard and read since im a big fan of Mori..the big sacrifice that she had to do was when she chose Dave over her Dad/family… cos the dad was against Dave from the start.. and when she left her home/family she left everything including her earnings abd everything to her family..and like she started all over again on her own…and now with Dave.. such a sad story but also their love for each other is so inspiring.. i just wish that her family would see how much they love each other and accept it.. i mean life is too short..and with this pandemic.. we should forget our pride set aside our differences be forgiving.. and just love love love ❤️ best wishes to Dave & Mori❤️ and thanks yazik i always watch your posts❤️

Yazik I just have to say that when I discovered Mori 4 yrs ago when one of her wishbus performances randomly popped up on my YT feed, like many of her fans I fell down this rabbit hole. One of your reaction vids to her performances also popped up on my feed shortly after I watched that first video. I almost feel like my personal Morissette fandom journey is synonymous with you. You have genuinely always been my fave Mori reactor! Seeing this wedding video when she and Dave released it had me completely emotional and overjoyed - though I’ve never met them in person (hoping for the opportunity to do so when they come to the US for her concert!) I was overcome that they would allow us, their fans, into something so personal and one of the most important days they will ever have in their lives. Thank you for your appreciation of them - I think that’s why I am such a fan of yours as well; because you pretty much mirror how I feel whenever I listen and watch them sharing their love of music & creating. Hi Yazik. I'm glad to see you reacting to this and I'm also happy for Mori that she married Dave and that I was able to discover her through Wish Bus and been following some of her music career. If you remember her song, "Love You Still" that Mori and Dave wrote for her family was they key to the "Sacrifice" though she still loves her family, her love became that much stronger for Dave.

I don't claim to be a expert on Mori's life, but have followed her since 2018. They celebrated their 2nd Anniversary on June 28/23 . Reason it was kept secret was partly due to this Treehouse production and its release , which they wanted after her Phoenix Digital Concert in Jan. 2022 but filmed in late 2021 . The songs are mostly songs Dave penned throughout their 10 yr relationship , frm friends, to GF/BF and back to friends again , while he was in the US. The songs Up, Up and Away , Free , True North and Luna released under artists " From The Sea " ( La Mar = the sea in Spanish) . What it was she gave up to be his wife was her family , who rejected him and never attended her wedding . Moira Del Torre was the one in red dress that gave toast. I have only seen Mori , angry , well maybe bitter is a better word , while on a livestream a troll was throwing shade , and she with class dismissed him/her.

The sacrifice she made is probably the issue with Mori's family, Mori chose Dave, and her family doesn't like Dave. Seems like Morissette's family didn't attend her wedding as she walked down the aisle by herself. It's sad but beautiful as she finally found her true HOME.
