Thank you for reacting to her beautifully heartfelt performance of this song. Gigi is very special, she has her own lane, she is aware of her capabilities, and knows how to play to her own strength. Before the pandemic, she and her band had regular 3-hour gigs on top of singing at weddings (even before or during her TNT days), so I think she mastered the art of pacing. Now they do it online 2 times a week. On this particular livestream of their band, they started the gig with this song “Butterfly” dedicated to 2 of their musician friends who just died, hence, they started off in a serious tone (but most of the time, they’re a bubbly bunch, always making fun of each other!). The sincerity that she expresses every time she sings is authentic and connects to her audience. I do not believe that everyone should be belting songs all the time, trying to copy or outdo the original singers. Sometimes, you just need to hear calmer but heartfelt, tender and sincere performances like this one, and I honestly believe Gigi is successful here. ❤️❤️❤️

Never thought she has this side of her voice. I just used to her hear with more swag songs, like even when she sings big songs, she still has and put some of that touch of her "metallic" tone which is what I like about her voice. But overall, she just slayed, and take note it is LIVE with like over 50k viewers. Aside from Morissette and Regine's version, this one was amazing. Great job Gigi!
