I'll never forget Bonisolli in rehearsal at the MET for Trovatore years ago. The conductor Julius Rudel began "Di quella Pira" at a slower than usual tempo. Bonisolli stopped singing and exclaimed loudly: "Il tuo ritmo è così lento che le mie palle pendono sul pavimento!"

Absolutely underestemated.Domingo had a sort of monopole and dominated the recording industry.Domingo is overestimated.Pavarotti was fantastich and Carrerras had a wonderful timbre.

Ralph Zamoyski Pavarotti is lyric tenor and his voice is special but he is absolutly better than domingo.... Miracle whit bonisolli is that after his 45 his voice become bigger more powerfull and rounder whit special vibrato.bonisolli is great great tenor whit collosal voice!!!

gefällt mir viel besser als Pavarotti. Die Stimme ist runder und ausgeglichener auch im Piano. Sorry bestimmt nicht der Live Beitrag. Wahrscheinlich war Luciano zuverlässiger und robuster. Das gehört eben auch dazu. Und der hatte im Alter auch keinen Wackler. Leider war Everding wohl schon sehr krank, bewundernswert seine Energie.

Der sieht aus wie ein alter Disco Fritze. Die Angabe das Bonisolli besser war als Pavarotti oder auch Domingo ist kategorisch falsch. Er war einer der besten dramatischen Tenöre seiner Zeit aber er war kein Pavarotti....und auch kein Corelli. Er war, dem abgesehen, ein guter Tenor dessen stimme leider zu früh ihren Glanz verloren hatte.

Was für eine unqualifzierte Aussage. Bonisolli hatte eine fast 40 jährige Karriere. 1999 hat er im Wiener Konzerthaus nach 9 jähriger Abwesenheit von der Bühne ein comeback gefeiert bei der es das Publikum im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes aus den Sitzen gerissen hat was sicher nicht an einer glanzlosen Stimme lag. Ein Ausschnitt davon (Nessun dorma) ist auf youtube zu finden. Einen Sänger zu bewerten kann wenn überhaupt nur einem Maßstab folgen: Ist er in der Lage fernab jeglicher technischer Schwierigkeiten seine Partien stimmlich zu hundert Prozent auszufüllen um sie durch Phrasierung und Darstellungskraft mit Instinkt wie Intelligenz zu gestalten. Wollen Sie mir ernsthaft verkaufen dass ein Domingo mit seiner stimmlich wie technischen Unzulänglichkeit sowie seinen Einheitsinterpretationen zeit seiner Karriere diesem Maßstab gerecht werden kann oder dass ein Herr Pavarotti die vokale Dimension hatte (unabhängig jetzt von Bonisolli) in die Fußstapfen der großen Tenöre vor ihm zu treten wenn sie schon einen Corelli gleichzeitig erwähnen.... Wenn Sie sich eine oder zwei Live Aufnahmen der Boheme Arie von Bonisolli gesungen hier auf youtube einmal objektiv anhören würden, täten Sie merken dass er so einem Anspruch wesentlich eher gerecht werden kann.

Holland, man sagt nicht, Der sieht aus.... sondern Er sieht aus wie.... so viel Anstand kann man erwarten, dass Sie Pavarotti anführen ist kontraproduktiv, Pavarotti war ein leichter lyrischer Tenor, mit Bonisolli nicht vergleichbar. Ein lyrischer Tenor hat stimmliche Grenzen, das hat der große Pavarotti aber auch nicht befolgt, den Otello hätte sich Pav verkneifen sollen, dazu war Er stimmlich nicht in der Lage, Boniselli aber sehr wohl. Bonisolli gehört zu den großen Tenor Legenden.

"Je crois entendre encore" Les Pecheurs de Perles, G. Bizet - Franco Bonisolli I think this recording may discount the relegation Bonisolli to a category of anything less than a great tenor, vocal defects not withstanding.
