To helpful to solve the problems with the vodacom fiber router giving challenges of its network. Everything is on but without network. I unplugged and plug it again following your steps.. Thank you

my quick setup booklet says that I must put the cable in the WAN port but the video says I must put it in the LAN port. The technician plugged it into the WAN port which makes sense from the ONT. Please revise this video and confirm its accuracy.

Imagine being a Vodacom contract client for over 25 years... I've reduced my contracts to just a sim... Why? Because it's not worth being a loyal customer after all these years and expecting better phones... 2022 is finally around the corner to finally say good bye...

I have the H500S Vodafone router that was supplied by Vodacom with our fibre installation. Now the cable running from the converter to the router is +-1.5m. If I run a longer cable to the router, the router doesn't work (like it's on, but no Internet service). Now I'm fine to leave the router where it is with the 1.5m setup. From the router I try to run a 20m cat5e cable to our room, but I also get no Internet connection. I can use up to 10m from the router to my pc, but anything longer than 10m doesn't seem to work. I tried different cables, have them tested and even made my own cables, but I can only get up to 10m to work. I know I should get up to 100m to work on 100mb line, but I'm not getting this with my setup.. The only thing I didn't try yet was Cat 6 shielded cable, since I battle to get the shielded type. The one with the metal connectors. Will a different router do better than the H500S regarding the cable distance? I really need to sort this out.

Reallyyy bad , have been waiting over a week for them to activate our line . we recieved the box and phoned them thay said it will be on in 24 to 48 hours ... And it's been literally 9 days !!!!!!!! (we probably phoned them like a million times everyday and they are saying do this and that... , never the same person) so everytime we phone Thay say they have aprovved and it will take 24 hours so it had been 9 Days already and one again they say in 24 hours ... Soo yes we really are upset that we agreed on the Vodacom fiber contract cuzz they are wasting our money and time ! Horrible service .!!!!!

This router only lasted a year or so...what crap quality. Now I am told I am out of warranty meaning I have to buy a new one from Vodacom because "I can't use any other router" I might as well switch to different service provider and get a free router and installation because this feels like a scam to buy a new router which will probably be overpriced if compared to other store prices.

Im a new customer . Just set up yesterday. What an awful experience thus far. Speeds is less than half and then im put on a wild goose chase phoning one department then the next and the next and the next. Each person definitely has given me their share of what they do not know of this service provider.FTTH vodacom network and vodacom as a isp is the worst ive experienced by far. Been on a call with various agents for 2 hours and still not one of my issues has been resolved. And i had to send emails with screen shots of my speeds. What a disaster. And to make things worse i went into contract with vodacom for a year with this rubbish being provided
