Why?....they stole millions from the country and left their own people with nothing. The Shah and his feared secret Police tortured and killed thousands of its own people who dared to criticise him, his family or the government. Many people who did speak out, were taken by the Shah's secret Police and never seen or heard from again. In 1971, the Shah spent over 650 million dollars on the world's most extravagant party in history to commemorate the birth of the Persiancivilisation whereby he declared himself to be as powerful as God. Meanwhile, many parts of Iran had no hospital, fresh water or schools. The average Iranian citizen was struggling financially all the while the Shah and his family were squandering the countries money, living a very lavish lifestyle and turning his back on its people. By the end of 1978, the Shah, desperate to cling onto power, publicly promised to his people to reform the country. However, it was too late for te Iranian people who despised him.

She joined her husband, took his arm and evidently comforted him ; there was money to take care of them in their exile.....He was not that savvy but she seemed to be. Now, she is still living in that "glorious, fairy tale past" , blaming the suicide of two of her children to the "revolution". Some people never accept the changes that do not benefit them. Sad, really. The Shah , even though he denied it, had some fascist group of people, who would arrest anyone that had something to say. He was a dictator, nothing close to any democracy. Many young people who had something to say, ended up dying in his prisons from their tortures.. That is why he got taken out of the country. They were lucky, they were not sent to prison themselves.. Too bad, the country is now under the control of radical clerics. From one bad deal to another is what the Iranians seem to get. It is a sad reality, as they are very fine people with a great ancient history. These warriors who pretend to be royalties, such as her husband and his father are nothing but opportunistic people, who live in their delusions, forgetting about humanity, compassion and decency. They are all narcissistic sociopaths and poor Farah is still in denial, about everything in her life. He married her, because she was young and healthy and he was attracted to her. He was looking for a mare to produce a son. He got that, plus an extra and two daughters. She was a commodity. Whatever love she has managed to experience was likely more from her than from him. I doubt he would have been able to really love anyone. He was too narcissistic for that. Farah is still in denial , promoting her fairy tale story to her grandchildren. I hope they did not inherit that chronic depressive gene. It is bad luck.
