These videos are such an escape from mundane life. Thank you Vogue. But a question: Is everyone in Paris FABULOUS (don't answer that as I think I already know;). Every one of these videos features someone GORGEOUS with impeccable style. Everyone is a 'CREATIVE' of some sort. Everyone has this beautifully curated high/low/vintage eclectic home decor style....casually stacked fabulous books everywhere without a kids toy in sight...Like EVERY SINGLE OF THESE VIDEOS. Not that I'm complaining...just wondering out loud in case anyone else has noticed...;)

Ah, yeah, we noticed..! I would love to know how much these apartments cost, whether they rent or buy, how they actually make/made their money. Because it *looks* like a lifestyle that's very out-of-reach for 99% of people and i doubt that Paris is that affordable (Parisians, please correct me if i'm wrong!). The vast majority have been quite young women (in their 20s-early 30s - which is young when you're over 40). There have been some comments made that they're all "heiresses", and maybe that's true for some. It'd be great to get some perspective and insight into these mundane aspects of life...otherwise it's a bit like watching castles-in-clouds... pretty but disappointingly unattainable. I'd love to see some on a "normal day" - i.e. not a Vogue-shoot day - where they're actually 'being real': not eating dinner, fully made-up at home and in stilettos. Occasionally it's a bit ridiculous... I do find some encouragement and inspiration to clean & re-arrange my own 'maison' watching these tho. (Also, i know that their money is none of my business - it's just my curiosity about how the world works and i wish we were more open about it!).

Apartments like these cost millions of euros. I'm 24 and most of my friends live in chambre de bonnes (old maid's quarters) or tiny studios, even those who are working full time jobs might have a 2 bedroom, but I can assure you most Parisian apartments do not look like this haha
