Hello. For your pc you can go into your bios and turn on ac/dc power loss in the advanced section and then plug your pc into a smart socket and that will let you do it aswell

This is so useful! I'll definitely use this for my new setup room. Thanks a ton, Josh :D BTW, sprinting to 100K? Go get that Silver Play Button! You deserve it 💪 Edit: At 7:46, there is a way to do this! Check your BIOS settings. There is an option that turns your computer on after 'power loss'. If you use a 'smart plug' to cut off the power, you can try this setting to check if your PC is booting when the smart plug is enabled again. ^^

I can confirm this CAN work on computer connected to wifi. There are some wifi chipsets that supports wireless WoL. Look at your wlan adapter(not ethernet adapter) in the device manager, if the "Allow this device to wake up the computer" is available or not greyed out then it should work

Sick Video! I'm considering trying to use 4 or 5 of the Lifx Beams in my living room as downlighting attached to the ceiling. Do you think that they produce enough proper room lighting? It's about a 20 ft. by 14 ft. space (6.1m x 4.25m) Also, I read the product specs where they say don't attach them to the ceiling. I'm assuming that this is because if you use the given attachment method they probably won't hold. I plan on using some more permanent solutions like caulking to solve that little issue and cable channel to hide the cables on the white ceiling.

just FYI you can change the setting in the bios to allow boot from PCI-E and it will let you boot up from a complete shut down

Love this setup! Gonna use this as inspiration for my setup! One question tho, when my wife and I get our setups complete and get everything sync’d up with voice activation…is there a way for Alexa or the voice assistant to respond back with a custom voice to make the experience more ✨N I F T Y✨? Like, for example: “Alexa, turn on battlestation” “Good afternoon *insert name*, I’ll turn that on for you”
