I’m positive in his fight with Vox, Alastor was winning and simply left because he was bored. Alastor only does things that entertain him or anger him. No one would get angry if they “almost” lost to someone. But one would feel angry if they left mid fight. Also based on his reactions to him he gets scared at first then seems to mask it with anger.

He is such a well created design. In simple terms he's like a combination of a voodoo doll with all that stitching, a show host appearance, a radio, a deer, and Wendigo appearance. Yet it all comes together neatly with a bow on top.

Not really he was killed by hunter who mistook him for a deer while he was disposing of a body. All sinners hell body resembles or relates to who they died. So no Alastor is not a "wendigo" but his look is just intertwined with that of a deer.

Interesting thing to think about, Radio was the first mass media to span across countries, into everyone's homes, but unlike television and the internet, Radio never produced light, it was only sound from radios. The other mediums required light to fully function was intended, but Radio was always in the dark, absence of light, only the voices, sounds and music to carry it. Radio truly is made for darkness.

Anyone who wants to know why he became some wendigo thing: Since the deaths in hell have a certain way of relating to how they died, alastor is actually part Deer. Basically, he was a serial killer when he was alive, and in a forest, when he was burying one of his victims body’s, a hunter shot him because he thought he was a deer, so that’s why he has hooves for feet, and antlers. Also when alastor gets mad (demon mode basically), you can see a red “X” on the very middle of his forehead, as you can see at 0:21, suggesting where he got shot by the hunter (great aim bro)

A lot of people wish his voice changed a bit more in this form but i think it being the same suits alastor. Alastor in life was never truly human he was a psycho, a cannibal, possibly a satanist, and had a Patrick bateman level of narsasism. His demon form is him. What we see is just simply his facade. A showman, a joker, a overlord... But when you peel back the skin you see whats always been there... A true demon. Edit: just realized his pupils in his demon form are radio dials. This whole song was crafted very well. Vox was all so sure of himself when he decided he need to let the radio demon know that he was now the top of Hell's entertainment. He insecurely roasted Alastor and made it a live viewing spectacle so that everyone would see and agree that Alastor was some washed up hasbin....oh oh but the minute Alastor saw it....he decided to play along and come back on air and highjack Vox's show...it went down hill for Vox immediately as Alastor quickly stole the show and made Vox look stupid and pathetic........and then.....with all the power in the city shut down accept at the hotel....Alastor dominates Vox on the air and proceeds to remind everyone why he is feared by even the most powerful in Hell, just wow bro chills. There is also the duality of Vox's lines at the beginning of the song...before he goes live to anyone he says that Alastor would whish he stayed gone...he was most proud of and sure of himself here...where no one could see or hear him, but then Alastor while live and in complete control of the air waves singing it to everyone including Vox, echoes him by saying...your going to whish that I'd stayed gone...telling Vox how his status quo was going to end...badly. Finally...I realized, because Alastor echoed Vox so perfectly.....Alastor heard Vox start the song....when no one else did.....creepy. Yeah don't mess with the radio demon.

The Wendigo aspects of Alastor are so well done you actually need to look up somethings to realize that they tie in. There’s two versions of the wendigo, Hollywood horror movies started giving the monster antlers like alastor’s, but the dead grey skin, emaciated limbs but tall stature (showing no matter how much he eats he will always be hungry) cannibalism, even the sinister taunts are apart of First Nations stories of the wendigo. While it has not been stated that alastor is a wendigo the subtle hints lend him that same enigmatic fear the original inspires.

I love that Vox and his lair have design elements of red squiggly lines that represent Alastor, since TV Broadcasting requires radio waves to work. As much as Vox boasts and claims he’s better than Alastor, he *needs* him to stay on the air. But Alastor doesn’t have a speck of blue on his design. Because radio doesn’t need television.
