Ryan has a really nice voice. I think because he's a lot more known as an actor, many of us forget that he was from the last era of the Mickey Mouse Club days, where there were many talented kids there that we know about today that could sing and Ryan was one of them. So seeing him bringing those vocals back for this performance was really good to see. Thanks for reviewing it, Jaron.

This is by far the most fun, most entertaining Oscar performance i have ever seen. I don't really care if it was "good", it was so so fun. I love how unserious Ryan is. He had to stop himself from laughing mulitple times. It was absolutly perfect in my opinion.

Initially I didn't recall the fact that Ryan was on the Mickey Mouse Club back in the day. I knew about Britney and Christina though. I was in the choir at a church years ago. The pastor once said that he had been in the choir when he was a little boy. But when he went through puberty his voice changed. And he wasn't able to sing like he once could. I remember hearing Usher speak on his experience with that as well. Which isn't something that I hear a lot of men speak on. However I'm sure they've experienced it. So it's good to know that Ryan is still able to sing and I think he did a great job.

It's not unusual for actors and actresses to possess, acquire, and manifest multiple talents throughout their lives. While not every singer can act, almost every actor can sing or at the very least hold a tune much better than the average person. Even untrained, inexperienced actors tend to have decent singing voices - so it's not surprising that an actor as experienced as Ryan Gosling would reveal that he possesses some vocal chops. Loved your analysis as usual, Jaron! #Kenergy
@laerwen9 ай бұрын
He doesn't just possess vocal chops, he's famously been performing (singing and dancing) since childhood! He was in the same group of people on the 90s Mickey Mouse Club to produce Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilera! This was literally him returning to his roots, which is why he knocked it so far out of the park I'm not sure the ball has come back to earth just yet :D

Now we just need Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Timothee Chalamet, Anne Hathaway, and Gal Gadot to appear in a Barbie sequel, with Emma Stone as Barbie’s best friend Midge who’s in love with Ryan’s Ken, and Cillian Murphy as Human Ken in the real-world, who’s Sasha’s (Ariana Greenblatt) teacher, and the love interest of Margot’s human stereotypical Barbie (Barbara Handler) in a Barbie sequel whenever Greta and Margot are planning on doing it right after when Greta gets done filming Chronicle of Narnia on Netflix. I DO hope that the original actors like America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Will Ferrell, Kingsley Ben-Adir (who also played Raggae singer Bob Marley in Bob Marley: One Love) Scott Evans, Alexandra Shipp, Michael Cera, Dua Lipa, and John Cena (Mermaid Ken) appear in the sequel too. Also, I think they should bring back Mark Ronson to compose and write more songs for the sequel (probably make it a musical this time) and probably for a Ken movie and Allan spin-off. We definitely need a musical broadway. Let’s start a petition!
