Jisoo doesn't get to sing this type of songs in Blackpink but when she does she just slays it effortlessly. It's a classic Japanese song sung by a non native Japanese speaker in front of a live Japanese audience. That's probably like you singing a Russian song in front of thousands of Russians & killing it! :) This was recorded from a live version & u can find it somewhere on KZbin. She's dressed in a dazzling white dress looking like an angelic Disney princess. Btw Jisoo is phonetically pronounced as G-Sue.

@@riko3072 Lol. No, Clarity shows her vocal range more then Yuki No Hana does. Most of this whole song is her deeper vocals. She never hits the high notes in this song that she does in Clarity. Both songs are great and Yuki is sang beautifully by Jisoo, but Ckarity shows her range alot more.

Just watched this again because I love Jisoo and this song and hearing professionals opinion about it. This song is in Japanese. Also you cannot relate the English translation of Japanese or Korean directly as it is like many other foreign languages where the sentence structure is different with where the mani nouns and pronouns can be found. Ex: "Look at the large red dog." in most other languages would be "Look at the dog that is red and large". Notice that Yuki No Hana directly translated to Snow Flower. She sings the words "Yuki No Hana" several times but the words "Snow Flower" never show up in the English translation.

I can agree with you when you said "she's telling a story". Jisoo may not be the best when it comes to singing or she may not have the best vocals, but her true ability is the ability to convey emotion and tell a story thru singing - this is what separates "singers" from "legendary singers" IMO.

Lauren I loved your first reaction to Angelina Jordan and have to say you created a bit of a stir amongst her angels (fans). Your belief that a filter was used post production caused some controversy but all is good. Everything will be resolved once you get to watch Angelina sing live and can hear her beautiful naturally deep voice with no filters.

I appreciate the purpose of this comment but I’m afraid I must disagree. All is not well. Controversy is too kind a word. Most reactors express varying degrees of disbelief the first (and second and third) time they hear Angelina, even when they can see her lips moving. Lauren was reacting to, as far as she knew, a 13 year old girl singing a song about her grandfather. And then she heard that voice. She’s a singing teacher, she’s heard a lot of girls sing, she knows 13 year-old girls don’t sound like that. Her conclusion that her voice had been enhanced was perfectly reasonable and wholly undeserving of the incivil comments made by not all, but still far too many. Angels? Not so much. When I started listening to these reactions, reactors would occasionally note how polite Angelina’s fans were. Lately I’ve heard reactors describe them as “unhinged” and begging not to be attacked for the slightest criticism. Not a good trend…. End rant That being said, Lauren, I hope you will not let a few over-protective fans deter you from from experiencing Angelina. She is all that people say, and more, but only hearing (and seeing) is believing. Just be aware that one or two or three songs is still just the tip of the iceberg Best, Alf

First : This is Japanese classic pop which had been remade so many time in different versions/languages. But this one is in Japanese, not Korean. She performed this in Japan. Second : This is not really a love or X-mas song. It's a sad song. It's about the first snow but it's the last winter. I think the music and the lyric is quite obvious. However, it might not be obvious for somebody. I don't know if it's about 'Shinto' or not but if you consume enough of Japanese stuff you'll understand that in Japanese culture, they kinda embrace 'pain& sorrow' and 'death' as a natural part of life. Therefore, 'pain& sorrow' in Japanese movies or songs always had a different depth. It's hidden beneath still& silent surface. (buy if you get used to it, I think it's very tasteful. It won't make you scream but it's kinda numb).
