It most definitely is not lipped the entire performance, but there is a couple places where it is. Mostly where she gets into more engaging choreography. She probably wouldn't of lipped it if it wasn't on live television, since most times television programs force singers to lip some parts. They don't want any mess-ups.

Is it an unpopular opinion to find Ariana very impressive live, but find her recorded music kinda lacking?? No hate, I think she is amazingly talented. It is usually the opposite with artists: their recorded, 'radio ready' tunes are bomb, but their live stuff is lacking. With Ariana, the full scope of her talent is displayed live. I will always stop to watch her performing anything live, even on talk shows, but when her music pops up on the radio, I usually click off. It is less her recorded voice and more the over-producing and flat tracks imo. I wish she would go en route Celine Dion or old school Mariah (Adele even) and really belt one out for recording, with more classic or subdued tracks. Maybe I am just old school. Please don't come for me lol.
@elocinaqui246 жыл бұрын
Her recorded albums are too bubblegum pop/R&B to not be overproduced, but her live singing, like her Aretha tribute was bomb! Wish she did more soul! And no worries. I feel the same about many powerhouse vocalists. I never listen to Demi Lovato's or Tori Kelly's studio recordings. They don't do their voices justice.

You said it looked live, is there way you can tell? I sort of go on sound, like how they're breathing into the mic. Is there signs in the neck or anything? I swear I learn more from you than in your videos than I ever did in any music class. I think you should check out GOT The Stage by GOT7, specifically the stage called Sick. It shows the 4 vocalists of the group and I've seen you mention the veins in necks in previous videos before and can see their necks as they're singing (maybe that sounds weird, I don't know?). More specifically Youngjae, who is the main vocal. If you do decide to check it out, he's the second one from the right or the one that tends to open his mouth up wider than the others when he sings. If it tells you anything about the bad music education that was given, I was always under the impression that when the vein in your neck stood out while singing just mean you were being really intense, not that you might be going for a note that might be difficult or something.

Most of it is does the way their mouth look make the vowel that I'm hearing. The more you listen to voices and watch how they are moving you can kind of empathetically feel what they are doing. If that doesn't match up I get suspicious. With this one it was not perfectly processed. You could hear her breathing and stuff. Then at the end she laughed and it was still amplified at the same level. I don't look at that vein as ALWAYS a bad sign, it will show up for basically anyone if you sustain long enough. If it's ALWAYS engaged, and ALWAYS bulging all the way, I like to check if it's causing any problems.

1. If the perf has good system,the mic usually has echo and it does unnecessary sounds. 2. It sounds that it has breath. 3. It sounds diff. From the track ofc 4. Some use prerecorded but they kinda use it again and again so if it sounds similar to each other it is lipsyncing 5. Watch the lips. Hope it helps !

It sounds totally different from the studio version, and has some imperfections and flaws as well!

"The Last Supper". You know what, that's exactly what that one scene looks like. I don't care for the vid. Don't like how they misuse God's name. I'm just here to hear your analysis. 😍

Ariana has become extremely good in the last few years at matching her voice to her movements. Due to all the dancing she does on stage, she has had a lot of practice of finding the balance of core strength that she needs to keep her vocals stable while she moves.
