Ahhhh it’s killing me that you didn’t do the whole killing voice set. I understand it’s a long bit especially with your reactions, but all of the songs are just soooo good, and all of the voices so unique but so well blended, and the sheer joy and support for one another they exude singing together as the set progresses, is just so enjoyable and charming. Would really love to hear your assessment of their different voices and parts and how they blend and play off each other throughout. Please consider a take2 of the whole set! Thanks for what you do.

I agree with you. As they go through the set, the textures are unique in each song. Their interaction with each other together as they go through, makes you just fall in love with them.

Their voices all matured a bit but I think they sound better now. The one on the left is the leader and she does the arrangements for their songs. All four of them are now professors at University teaching their experiences and are highly regarded for their high level technique. The song '여자' showcases their harmonies, the song at 16:24 '이별, 그 후' will let you hear what the one on the left can do.

That's Shin Yeonah, the oldest member (she was 49 when this was done). She actually created a Kpop girl group at her university, Azer, which debuted last year.

Hey there Bethany!! I just saw a few of your reactions to Floor Jansen and want to encourage you to remember how much you enjoyed Ghost Love Score in the video that you reacted to, and then listen to her performance in the official version performed at the Wacken Festival in 2013 in Germany. In all seriousness, it is one of the most perfect vocal performances matched up the the instrumental aspects of the collective performance I have ever heard. I had to go through it dozens of times to try and pick something I would change to make it more perfect, I really tried to be as critical as possible, but there was nothing. Absolutely nothing could be improved to further perfect the performance of both Floors vocal, or the bands performance of each instrument. It is truly spectacular. Definitely worth a listen. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

One Day More was their most recent song at the time of the Killing Voice recording, but they actually released an album earlier this year called Born! I’d really recommend Like Nothing Happened (the title track of that album) and Starry Night. Each of the members have their own solo song on it as well :)

About vocal changes over time, it's a hard question because recording techniques and styles have also changed over time. Within KZbin, I checked back through their careers and I don't think their sound has changed that much. Their voices and singing styles have evolved a bit, but again, listening to it, sometimes I think I hear changes that come from microphones, or the taste of an individual producer or engineer, or the room. Overall, I think they seem to be generally a bit fuller voiced, but surprisingly little changed.

if you want to do a side-by-side comparison - here is a video posted 15 years ago (and probably around the time it was actually filmed) - of their song "Nevermind" (the 4th song) - performed live in a radio studio - kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4vahXpun9qGnbs IMO - some 20 years later - there's a minor loss of power & breath control - but not enuf to affect the performance it's hard to hear a maturing of the musicality of korean singers - they don't improvise much - if the korean audience likes a melody line - they want to hear it done that way again - - as R&B type singers - these members were able to put more personal touches in their singing - but it was all there 20 years ago - as you'll notice if you check out the video i linked to the group's history is interesting - the head of their agency disliked the trend in kpop to manufacture boy & girl groups based first on looks & and lastly on talent (a good singer would be thrown in the mix as if an afterthought) - so he gathered these R&B soloists - older than average in the kpop industry - told them to never get plastic surgery - and produced a clever debut music video ("Breakaway" the first song in this video) - in it slender girls are seen performing - then towards the end - the camera moves into the back room - where the actual members sans makeup - are shown to be the actual singers Big Mama struggled for a few years - but acquired a reputation - and girl groups today will perform "breakaway" to show off their singing (no group has matched Big Mama however)

in 2011 - a promising R&B group called Bella debuted (kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaCln3SnbrWngrs) - but disbanded after putting out their second song - a very conventional kpop song - one of the members of that group debuted in Kiss and Cry (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3ebZoFqm5p1obM) but that lasted a few months - a 5 member group Spica (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKTbgaKYnLCUeZo) managed to last about 5 years altho the members didn't seem to make any money (that happens a lot - only the extremely successful groups make the members rich - eg BTS and BlackPink)

They have been in the industry for years. They are incredible singers and should be more famous than they are. Unfortunately, in Korea because of their size they were bigger they weren't pushed. They didn't fit the beauty standard to be singers.
