I love all of them, but yes, Jimin's voice is unique, and always INSTANTLY recognizable to me. There's just no one who sounds like that. I'm a fan of medieval and Renaissance music so I've heard plenty of countertenors, but I have NEVER heard one with as much sheer warmth in his upper register as Jimin has.

Jimin has such unique,angelic voice but he gets too much hate because his voice broke often in 2018-19 performances. The amount of hate Jimin got from other fandoms when his voice cracked in Mga 2018 Charlie puth fake love performance was immeasurable. I wish in near future, Jimin would improve his vocal stability so much that these haters will start apologising

@@rikhmjustsomeguywithmousta4971 Jimin's voice did not cracked at the MGA performance he was not on key bcs of the technical issue and the funny thing was he was not the only one who was out of key but ofc since some members fans/akgaes are so insecure and jealous of him they started using that one clip that was 3-4 yrs ago as a drag and other fandom started using that as well to insult J/M. If u will notice from their previous songs he has improved a lot although he did not received vocal lessons while they were just trainees, he mentioned b4 that he started taking vocal lessons now since the pandemic strikes. You can clearly see how he had so much control on his voice now

Just some facts about pink haired guy Jin(oldest member). Jin started singing at age 18, has longest vocal training of almost 4 years in BTS and is still in contact with his vocal coach asking for guidance before any concerts or performances. Jin has the 2nd biggest and most stable range in BTS having a range of 3.5-4 octaves. He can sing in low 2nd octave and also has the highest notes in BTS C6 in Disease recorded version, F6 in I’ll be Missing You live performance. Jin is also appreciated by the Grammy panel to have unique Silver Voice. Jin also has some of the strongest falsettos in kpop(checkout Abyss by Jin). Other 3 are ofc fantastic but my heart goes to Jin considering he’s so hardworking,talented and humble in real life that he also is nicknamed the Manner Idol in Korea.

Thank you for singing the praises of my WWH bias. He was overlooked so much in the early years because of the tone and strength of his voice. He was told his voice just didn't fit well with the type of songs they were doing at the time (hip hop) and he was given very few lines back then. It was when they finally realized that Jin is best as a ballad singer that they began to write more songs that showcased his talent instead of hiding it in the background.

you got the notes wrong, he doesn’t hit a C6 it was a Bb5 on disease, and he goes up an F5 in the i’ll be missing you, an F6 is whistle tone and he did not do that in the live performance.

U said everything I say when I try to define JIMINS voice. JIMINS voice is truly MultiDimensional. The added texture to his voice Creates Natural instrumental effects to his voice which comes out as His voice Sparkles like a Stardust and NATURAL REVERB. It’s very hard and almost impossible to define JIMINS vocal tone bc It does sounds like two people are singing at the Same time. That’s not entirely wrong bc JIMIN can his Higher register which Female Vocalists can’t hit and his lowest Lower Register is he sings in FRY REGISTER So smoothly. This range in his vocal quality is bc he kinda do have two person’s voice inside him 🥰. It’s bc his voice has so much depth and texture to it you cannot put Jimin’s voice in just one category and define this is his voice. JIMIN IS ONE VERSATILE VETERAN SINGER. I noticed they tend to perform this song differently in a few concerts. Like changing duets, or the way they sing it . Sadly in this performance, jimin was sick but he gave it his best. I’m not sure if this was before or after their Brazil concert, where jimin completely lost his voice and ended up crying mid performance. V, Taehyung is a beautiful baritone with the widest range in BTS. Jin to me has the most stable consistent voice. Jungkook is the main vocalist for a reason, simply amazing. Jimin's light voice is so sweet and really makes their group sound so good. All 7 are good singers now in 2022. They say Jungkook sings all the time, when cooking, working out, playing video games or just laying around the house. He just sings.

I think you'd like Jin's solo song Epiphany(STAGEMIX, there's a version from this same concert that people often recommend but the sound quality isn't as good, and hearing him properly is kinda the point for you) Other than that I'd recommend Your Eyes Tell, House of Cards and Dimple + Pied Piper(there's an iconic performance where they performed these two back to back)

The Truth Untold is my second favorite vocal line only song. I absolutely love it. (Zero O'clock being number one - I highly recommend the live stage mix). And yes, all of them definitely sound better live but I feel that Jin in particular hits so much harder live. JK's crystal clear voice is amazing, the vulnerable tone in Jimin's voice is beautiful and V's deep barytone adds a great depth to the song but Jin's expressive voice is my personal favorite (clearly 🤭), especially live. It's like they can't fully catch the power of his voice in the studio.

That song is super super difficult musically and to sing. And his other songs too and his high note in ON too. And Charlie Puth even confirmed now that JK has a perfect pitch. Thank you for reacting to BTS, although J/M was sick at this performance glad u can still pick up how amazing Jimin's vocal is. You are 100% correct he has a very unique voice which stands out and very recognizable from the rest, you know whenever Jimin sings you can literally feel so much emotion that even though you haven't look up the meaning of the lyrics u somehow can understand it just by listening to him, he has this way of adapting his voice to the song thus making him a having a wide range (if that made sense). Hopefully u can check out all of his solo songs Promise, Lie, Serendipity, Christmas love, Filter, Friends (his produced song duet with V) and With you his collab with his good good friend Ha Sungwoon. You will notice that non of his solo songs sounds alike or boring thus making them interesting and great to listen to. And one more thing that is great abt Jimin is his diction and or enunciation is so clear which makes his singing so pleasing to the ears, even when he is singing in english is not like he is tongue tied which can make the words comes out hard or like with strong emphasis that it seems like the songer is having a hard time to sing which for me is kinda of irritating somehow bcs it doesn't sound nice and kind of ruining the experience P.S. I love hearing the opinion of TRUE PROFESSIONALS abt Jimin cause you guys knows what you are talking about and you have the right knowledge 🥰

Jungkook is the main vocalist for a reason! He really is the king of harmonys and adlibs in BTS and does most of them on recordings but especially live. Since he’s also the only vocalist who is a sub rapper.. he does harmonys and adlibs with vocalists and rappers… I bet you’ll love the rap harmonies… it’s so special and not typical of rap music or standard pop bc they both lack rap or singing… so it’s honestly such a treat .. especially jhope and jungkook bc jhope is the only rapper who is also a sub vocal and jk is the only vocalist who is a sub rapper… and they play off each other so well and have similar tones when they sing sometimes… it’s so nice to hear! Every vocalist has their place in this group and without them they wouldn’t be BTS… All absolutely essential to the sound that BTS has and at the same time can completely stand on their own kinda like you said… it’s so beautiful to take in honestly… it never gets old hearing them singing together

I love The Truth Untold, not only because of the magnificent interpretation of the vocal line but because of the lyrics, it's based on an old Italian story; it's worth mentioning that the (fictional) flower mentioned in this story has been used in MVs, performance and album cover by BTS. As for their voices, listening to some songs from other groups I have realized that the voices of the members are very similar, while in BTS there are 7 voices different from each other and with an acquired personal style. They are unique, it is easy to distinguish them from all the others.

I’m not good at using the right singing words but this is what it sounds like to my ears. Jimin sounds slightly nasal but like it’s coming from his chest at the same time. It’s like they come out mixed. Sometimes one takes over the other but they are both still there. I can feel the tightness in the way he sings yet he can open up hit the high notes. His voice in Film Out is on a hole other level.

As this user explained: "This song is based on La Città di Smeraldo. It’s about a man who lived in a castle and kept to himself (he thought he was ugly). A woman came to his castle one day and picked some of his flowers from his garden. At first he was mad but then he found out she was selling flowers for a living and watched her as she picked them. He never revealed himself in fear that she would react to him badly. To help her he decided to plant a flower that didn’t exist so she could sell it for a lot of money. That day she stopped coming and he learned that she died. Just wanted to share my tiny story of when I first heard Jimin's voice: As I was washing the dishes, BTS came up on my daughter's playlist (it was my first time hearing this group so I can't tell you which song it was), and I was just passively listening until Jimin's part. All of a sudden as he sang I noticed that my whole body was relaxing. Muscles I didn't even know were tense just released like a wave of warmth washing over my body. That "home again, safe at last" kind of feeling. I cherish that memory -- my initial step into that slide down the rabbit hole that led to the Magic Shop.💜

I still can’t believe that no one recommends ‘Let Me Know’ from the vocal line. Yes, it’s older and their voices haven’t fully matured into who they are today, but it’s an amazing song, and with Jimin’s A5!

This song is one of my favorites, it's SO beautiful. One thing that I love the most about BTS is how they can show their emotions through their voices, you can feel their emotions. I also got goosebumps just watching this live through the screen.. I can't imagine how would it feels listening to this song live in person. 💜 I hope you keep reacting to them!

I watched this reaction, and your reaction to Film Out, and noticed your expression when listening to Jimin was not as open and straightforward as when listening to the other guys. So I wanted to tell you why you may be feeling somewhat puzzled about what you hear from him. At first, I wasn't going to comment, but then I just listened to a digital tiktok extraction of Jimin's vocals from an OST track he did with his friend Ha Sung Woon, called With You. His emotional intelligence is superb and you can really hear it there. So I decided to comment. Jimin was the last member to join BTS. Though he was given high range singing roles, he was not given voice lessons. He developed a singing style and techniques on his own, asking to observe other members' vocal lessons, then practicing on his own. The past couple of years, he has sometimes mentioned a vocal coach, so maybe he has taken lessons on his own now. He is definitely unsure of himself at times. Jimin is both a dancer and a martial artist. He has muscular control far better than the norm. Another voice teacher has mentioned Jimin is able to control the position of his larynx in his throat to get into his high range, and that he usually doesn't use falsetto. If this was accurate, it would probably be due to Jimin's muscular control. For the video you're reacting to here, the members have already performed 20 live songs including some with heavy choreography, so they are all tired. This would affect the stability of Jimin's voice most, because he dances hardest. In fact, about 9 songs into the setlist, Jimin performs an astonishing choreo solo with vocals to his song Serendipity, before coming to this song. In the reaction to Film Out, you are seeing Jimin having to compromise for a live performance. Comparing the performance with the Film Out MV, you would see that Jimin is leaving several of his most difficult high passages to a backing track in the live performance. Because he doesn't like making that kind of compromise, he tries too hard, inducing some instability in his voice. He doesn't control volume with his usual finesse. It's my personal and humble opinion in order for Jimin to fit in to BTS as an untrained singer, he has always accepted working with vocal passages that are higher than his norma range. He uses his homegrown techniques and muscular control to perform these. When conditions are right, nobody can beat the power and emotional intelligence of his singing. It took me a while to understand what he's doing. He is now my favorite BTS singer.

This is a really interesting comment with information I didn't consider of before. My favorite vocalist is Jin, but because I knew Jimin had the least time to train with his voice I've always been intrigued by the techniques he chooses to use, and how he develops his artistry. I always felt in the back of my mind his dancing background helped his voice and prevented damage somehow but never thought of how to put words to why that may be, so your comment was very enlightening.

I feel like the perfect on point video for you to notice each of their unique style and range and how they blend in different genres since they have songs in almost every gerne is the “BTS Room live 2021 festa” or their “Tiny Desk concert” you’ve heard them sing in English, Japanese and now Korean, there is nothing like bts singing in Korean I personally feel their confidence when they sing their Korean songs on a different level. The festa is a 10 min video with a lot of songs in this like chronological order from their 1st album to their last album. It’s a whole journey to see how much their music has changed and how they’ve also grown expanding genre’s. The tiny desk is 3 full songs, which is also beautiful for displaying their unique vocals since they’ve picked the perfect songs where each member reallly shines the best.
