Hi Andy, not sure if anyone has pointed it out to you? That in several of his songs, especially the one's of betrayal. Which are many. He would pause or skip a word that rhymes with an expletive! Giving his frustration more feelings to his emotion's. It's frustrating to me when you can't connect the words due to the language barrier. Not your fault. At the end of this song (one of my many favorite song's of him) when he says "I will make you beg in front of your lover!" He quickly pauses as he raises his arm before the last word "lover." He leaves room to squeeze a quick expletive that rhymes with the rythem, but stops himself. And you can hear the audience catch it and start cheering in agreement before he finishes singing. It's funny and very satisfying at the same time. especially to those who have been betrayed in their past. Who hasn't? Right! What he really wanted to say... excuse my French, I don't usually swear. Is "i will make you beg me in front of your F-ing ( "pinche" in spanish) lover! You can see his lips are about to pronounce a ( P !) But he restrains himself because he's a gentleman.

Just so you know what I heard many years ago when I had friends who were actually close to Juan Gabriel. The story goes that his best friend (at the time) who did many of his dealings and who was also gay, was taking lots of pictures of their parties and get togethers with their friends. He was always telling J.G. That he would love to write his biography one day. J.G. Would always say. Write it! But make it nice for me. Well, one day his “Best friend” decided to write it a book about J.G. I don’t remember if he told him that he was doing it to be sincere, but he included a lot of pictures of the parties where J.G. Would be kissing (in the pictures) with the whomever the boyfriend was at this specific time. When he released the book and J.G. Wa stood about all the “private stuff he was telling, Juan Gabriel hit the ceiling and went after him like a hurricane and accused him of basically back stabbing him just to get rich throwing away their “friendship”. Juan Gabriel stopped the sale of the book by threatening to sue the company and the now ex-friend. He wrote this song after him. As you can see in the lyrics and his voice, you can also feel the pain and the anger his so called friend caused Juan Gabriel. So yes. “La farsante” is the “Phony one”
