Yes. Marigold is a wonderful gentle song and watch both he and his mother struggle with tears. At one point he cant go on and throws it to the audience. There are no fire works singing, just pure beauty and emotion.

There is a continuation to Gloria Wu's (meritorious) giving the background to this song (originally a Japanese song by Koji Tamaki. She (Li Xiang Lan), years after her deportation to Japan became the Japanese Minister of Culture. In that capacity she paid an official visit to China. During her visit she made inquiries about her Chinese husband, only to be told that she had died. He for sure had died. He had been convicted and condemned for having collaborated with the enemy and had been executed with a pistol shot in the neck.

I sometimes feel like a broken record when I comment about Dimash - delicate; heavenly; passionate; emotive - all perfectly natural adjectives to describe Dimash’s vocal artistry. Autumn Song has the feeling of an updated September Song (an older song that was somewhat popular in North America way before I was ever born!). Dimash has worked his vocal muscles so well over his lifetime that his singing appears effortless. It doesn’t hurt that - in addition to sounding beautiful - Dimash is beautiful to watch. You’re right that this song is nostalgic. Although it is still officially autumn in Canada, we have already had snow in our capital. (The week before our snow came, we had temperatures in the high teens (Celsius). My daughters described our weather as bipolar.)

The song is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi, a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. Good morning Jack! I think maybe this is my favourite Dimash's song. I don't know if youk know the story behind, or lyrics... In Samaltau there was an indefinite separation; this one is for ever never. So this beauty sadness can touch our heart, when we know how it's have come to the really end with something or someone too much loved. I always sorry my bad English! Another wonderful and insightful reaction. This was certainly a great performance. However, I really enjoyed Dimash's "Singer 2017" competition performance of the song due to the audience's reaction to it. When Dimash Kudaibergen heard the song "Autumn Strong", he was deeply moved. In order to show gratitude to the audience there, he learned this well-known and loved Chinese song in its original language in just one week and delivered a brilliant performance.
