The female low contralto voice is the rarest female voice and I love it. High Coloratura sopranos are also rare but can be developed, out of lyric soprano or other not too thick soprano voices because it requires great agility but it's hard to do fast agile stuff with a richer, thicker voice, even as a soprano. The most common voice and the one mostly heard in modern music is the Mezzo Soprano. It sounds great doing jazz styles, as well as others. Contralto can sound great doing hard rock. I once heard a Contalto friend belt out Take Me To The April Sun I Cuba, by Melbourne Aussie rock group Dragon. She was pretty drunk at this Karaoke Club bar place they made me sing House Of The Rising Sun in, after I lost my last $ gambling and somehow needed to get some $ to pay for a taxi home at 3am in a rough Melbourne 'hood. She agreed to sing TAKE ME TO THE APRIL SUN IN CUBA, to raise my taxi fare home, if I'd go with her to another where there was a man she was keen on and was hoping to 'casually run into', by 'sheer chance'. When we sang, it brought the house down, caused such a ruckus the management order us to leave because patrons had stopped playing the slots (pokies) there. We never made it yo the other club to try to meet this hot man she was keen on. Her singing just blew me away as nd so we were sitting in this park at 4am singing, having real fun, until a cop car appeared, so we thought we had better stop the racket and just lie low, go home, instead. It was a big night...

It seems I was very lucky - I went to an all-girls' school and despite it being a relatively small choir, our CM had BIG expectations. She liked to put out Faure's Requiem and the "altos" sang the baritone line on the bass clef. She had no problem filling the top parts of the choir but absolutely loved it when she found those of us who could grumble along until bats started falling out the rafters. I thought that's what "altos" were then realised that standard alto parts are pretty much the top of my tessitura and I'm not an alto at all. But I love my low voice because who wants to be the same as everyone else? We're bloody great, and if anyone disagrees we'll sing at them until the resonance causes masonry to fall on them 😈

Oh god, Kristen, I'm so sorry - childhood bullying stays with you forever, it's incredibly damaging. Oddly enough, I got away with a lot cos a) I usually have a snappy answer and b) I'd use my ludicrously low voice to make people laugh - I do a slamming impression of male opera singers 😁 But without snark and humour, I would have been minced at school and it was bad enough - we had no choice, we were tested for choir in the first music lesson; if it were up to me I'd never have stuck my head above the parapet either. I really am so sorry because I know how it can just devastate your esteem and confidence. It did take me awhile to learn to embrace it tho. The sopranos and middles got to do all the fun twiddly bits whereas I just grumbled along at D2 and occasionally it got very exciting and I got to move a whole entire note for half a second then back to mumbling along the bass clef. But we're SPECIAL, even if we only enjoy singing in the shower, we're doing it as the elite 2%!

Yes you’re comfortable speaking at the bottom of your range so speaking voice and actual range can be different. Most/many tenors for example will speak around an a2, though they sing much higher. Some others will tend to speak a little higher in their range, even if they have the same low notes. I’m just using that as an example because I’m familiar with male voices being male… idk as much about females so I’m here learning

For years, I believed I was a medium voice with a 2 octave range. Lyric Mezzo. I hated singing high soprano notes and, though I love low female voice, I thought I could never have such power. But I loved fantasisng about having the voices I never had, in secret, of course, because I thought I sound dreadful. Then I discovered I had 2 additional octaves. One lower one, one extreme higher one. When I first heard these extra octaves it almost scared me. The higher one was easier than the extreme low one, which takes a lot of strength. And now, recently, I discovered I could do some frilly extreme coloratura notes, even whistle tones. Not brilliantly but I can manage some of them. It is so exciting to feel so vocally liberated. It's worth trying to gently push the limits and experiment with different sounds.

I have 2 different voices/ranges too. Most of my life I've sung as a soprano. It was easier for me to sing above C5. But I also had a set of notes below A3 that sounded like a different person. And a set of weak notes from C4 to G4 which made sing pop very hard. Been working for years to connect the 3 ranges.

Thank you so much for this! It's very hard to find materials on such vocal range! I struggles with sining for years at school until they put me sining with boys and it just turned out that I have a contralto and our teacher tried to teach us sing high (which I wan not able to do phisically). I had a bad time finding a vocal coach who would understand how this voice works because some of them just couldn't believe that low notes are easy for me and said "No, you can't sing that low!" And it always hard to choose songs because teachers often didn't let me sing songs that are sang by men. Or I couldn't convince my teachers to change the key because they chose the key where the lowest notes were my highest! So thank you again for this! I hope that you would make something about heavy metal style of sining with this vocal range some day.

Oh my god! It's not just me. I can sing some high as well though but it was much harder and more work. Eventually, I stopped singing songs where people were using lower ranges as often because my parents kept commenting about my low voice. I sometimes sang an octave lower for female vocals that I couldn't sing as easily. They made me feel weird about it so I listened to and sang along to higher male voices and strained and practiced until I kind of forgot how to work in my more natural, lower register. I regret that I stopped using my natural lower range. I like being able to have a higher range but I miss the depth and strength of my voice before. That's why I'm here.

I'm curious on your labeling. As I was taught (granted, this was 20 years ago) a contralto's chest voice starts at D-3, middle register should begin around F-4, and only "extremes" go below D3. Obviously, your voice is that extreme, and it's beautiful. I'm envious, haha! I'm just worried that telling a person who can only sing down to C#3 (like me) "you're a mezzo" is perhaps going to cause problems. That happened to me, and I really struggled in my first voice class until a piano accompanist told me to sing the tenor part and explained that the teacher had mislabeled two students, me and a baritone.

Yeah that's not true what she said at all... I'm an operatic contralto and have been classicaly trained as one by 3 different voice teachers and my voice is actually very much deeper and more heavy sounding than hers in color (I'm A lyric with Colourtra ability) and thats on the ligher side of the Contralto voice types..singing the same notes even in the "mezzo range "there also mezzos who can sing in the 2s even sopranos ...but as a contralto I honestly wouldn't consider her a contralto.. because the color of her voice is too light in my opinion and contraltos have a very distinct sound throughout their range.no they dont have to sound manly but i guess thats not my place seeing as she's been trained as one but also her lowes in the 2s imo kinda sound pushed a bit. It's just all the Contraltos i know of have a very distinct tone.. she sounds honestly , like a mature mezzo who who can hit lower notes the farthest I can go is a D2 but where I basically end in my comfort Range is at the B2 with out haveing to put Technique behind it ,its all about the color and tessuria of the voice. That makes the voice type, not the range Yes each voice type has their comfort Range but mine ends at the B2 naturally and ive been classified as a contralto by three separate teachers who would refuse call me a Mezzo because of the color of my voice thats what all my voice teachers have told me... so I'm kinda confused where this labeling is coming from yes its a rare voice but just because someone also can hit those lower notes dosnt make them contralto or vise versa.its all about color etc. I agree that this labeling can throw people off and or make them second guess because i see more people calling them sekfs a contralto in this comment sections just because they can sing down to a F2 but it's not about the notes sung Essentially. I know a few famous contraltos who's limit is around D3 to C3 notes but is no where near the mezzo texture, like cher and sade granted yes they probably can hit lower but its just their own comfort is around there. I think it's kind of misleading to state if you can sing in the bass range your automatically a contralto because there would be a lot of sopranos out there who are trained that could now be called contraltos because they are able to hit those notes. I was told by all 3 voice teachers it's about where you Comfortably have Resonance and like I said above the color /tessuria not notes as a whole. I know baritones who can't go as far as a D2 like me and are still baritones like my current teacher..

I think it can be very hard for people who have experienced a couple crappy teachers because even after high school days I had a couple crappy teachers who teachers who weren't able to train me properly because of my voice type being a contralto and would either give me Reprotour in the wrong keys or tell me I can't sing too high or too low etc. Makeing my voice feel smaller than it actually is Where is my current teacher has Been able to make my voice shine and I actually have color now and I never knew that .I would have never known if I had a good treacher! But I've with that said I could never imagine somebody trying to give me just mezzo soprano repertoire with the fact that notes are a factor, and have the color florish properly in my voice . I noticed my voice changed significantly after 15. I was always in the soprano range and made to sing in the "high soprano" range for a specific Hallelujah arrangement, but now, my comfortable range is low (similar to Chris Cornell's range). My lowest note that I can comfortably hit is A2. Thanks for sharing this, it's good to understand the ranges.

God, this video has helped me feel so much better about my low voice. I’m currently in my first year of doing chorus at my high school since the 4th grade in elementary school, and despite knowing I have a low voice for a long time, being singled out as “the female tenor” in my class is just kinda embarrassing for me. I’m constantly self conscious about it, since I feel like I stand out and I’m afraid people are gonna think I’m not “tenor” enough for my group, yet not “alto” enough to sing with any of the girls. Lately I’ve gotten a bit more comfortable about my voice and I’ve been feeling a lot less of the imposter syndrome sorts of feelings after finding an upperclassmen tenor with almost the same vocal range as mine. Despite him being a boy, finding someone who has an almost identical range to mine has been helpful, and since he had more experience with singing in general, mirroring his strategies to help get those higher notes out has helped me tremendously in exploring the higher side of my range. Low note is A2, maybe G2 on a good day, and the other day I managed to sing an A4 pretty confidently alongside that upperclassmen tenor for the school musical 😊 I hope to continue getting more comfortable with my range, and maybe one day I’ll finally feel fully confident in this voice

You have a very beautiful voice and good information :) however, I don’t think all official contralto singers can or have to reach these low notes to be classified as contralto. And I don’t think contraltos are as rare as most people tend to think. Maybe it’s rare in mainstream and classical singing but not if you take all those who think they can’t sing because most songs are either too high or too low for them. There are so many more factors to be classified in a vocal fach than only vocal range. (Maybe you already mentioned that and I didn’t pay enough attention)
@JulieMelillo

exactly! I've read the easiest way to tell is if you can use chest voice on the low notes, not tongue tension (using the back of the tongue to color the weak low notes is what mezzos and sopranos do, who think they are contraltos). Contraltos can get chest resonance on the low notes...But I agree, contralto only goes down to F3, and she is talking about going into lower bass territory...
@TheBaumcm
@TheBaumcm 3 жыл бұрын
I would agree with this. When you consider that this is a fact and most people who get into opera would be those who could sing with the supported ranges, mezzos and sopranos, it may be more a case of not being heard, similar to the field of engineering being dominated by males because fewer women had previously been interested AND encouraged.
@JulieMelillo
@JulieMelillo 2 жыл бұрын
@@shabrethajennings7291 ya I agree. I think a lot of mezzos "fake it" by making the back of their tongue vibrate for low notes (like the tongue depressor sound you make at the doctor), versus making the low sound in the chest...I've realized some of the people I thought were contraltos were actually mezzos doing that w/ the back of their tongue! Real contraltos don't sound very low even when making low notes because it's in their range, like Judy Garland doesn't even sound low! (real contralto). :)

@@bwingbwinggwiyomi Put your hand on your chest and see if it vibrates on the low notes in the contralto range. If you are mezzo it will vibrate for the low mezzo notes but lower than that it won't. Think of the tongue depressor at the doctor when you say "ahh" that's the sound mezzos use to fake contralto low notes. see how the chest doesn't vibrate and it only vibrates in the mouth? That's what you are looking for. Also look for which low notes sound fuller and more resonate without trying. But really, most contralto songs are sung by mezzos anyway! So it doesn't matter too much. But I do think mezzos sound better in their own range where they shine! If you are a contralto, the mezzo high notes would be too high for you and could hurt your voice.

Yes! This is definitely a more mezzo range for sure but it is a little wider than average! If you’re already up to an F6 that miiight be maxing out the whistle range of even a wider range mezzo. It’s pretty great that you’re up that far!! C6-F6 would likely have whistle tone qualities and I think even if you don’t expand beyond that (you already have a wider than usual range) you can make a lot of headway just learning to use and control those few notes for whistle tones. You can get them to have a lot of dexterity right in that spot. That’s great to have suck vocal flexibility! Mezzos can be a really flexible voice type!

@@voicehacks how do you get a whistle register when you're a contralto? Or a voice type that doesn't reach above g5?
@voicehacks
@voicehacks 2 жыл бұрын
@@divestedkonservativekarame4269 I hate to say it but you typically don't. So this is where the physiology of why the voice is low in a female larynx vs why a voice is low in a male larynx starts to play a role. So in Contralto female vocalists the vocal folds don't grow very long like they do in men so the hyoid bone doesn't lengthen much etc and that means the shape of the cords causing the voice to be low is very wide, fat cords. These type of cords are really really difficult to get to whistle phonate. Even harmonically. In order to whistle sing (which usually begins at C6 and up) you have to have folds which will allow you to phonate notes that high and typically a contralto's cords are too wide. I have made it to a C6 once in a blue moon but can't do any whistle phonating really at all. Mezzos will at least have a couple of whistle tones they can access like C6, D6 and possibly E6. But you will see people like an extremely wide range baritone or a tenor male vocalist (the baritone would be a lower voice than a contralto) achieve whistle harmonics (the might not literally sing a c6) where their cords are thin enough to create some high whistle harmonics because male vocal folds are typically longer, not super wide. They have a dramatic length difference that makes the strings/cords sing lower pitches but without being prohibitively wide like a contralto. The exception would be a true Bass vocalist for example, who would be a male voice type where the cords are long and wide and this significantly limits the ability to do whistle phonations. I don't really want to discourage anyone from trying anything but these are the realities of the physics of sound vs anatomy we are looking at. It's more so you guys don't think there's something wrong with you if you're a contralto who never gets any whistle tones out, that's just the limitation of the shape of those particular vocal cords. It's all physics of sound so width and length of the cords will determine the limits of some of our sounds at the end of the day.

Hi! This is the first video of yours that I have watched and I instantly subscribed about a minute in. I love vocal pedagogy stuff so this was a joy to watch. It made me so sad when you said that you were disappointed with being a contralto. I absolutely love contralto voices. They are so dark and rich and rare and I cannot get enough. This was so fun to watch. I'm kind of the opposite of you. I sing completely in falsetto and as such my vocal fach is a soubrette; although, I dabble in light lyric coloratura rep. I've been taking lessons again for the past year or so after being away from lessons for seven years due to life stuff. For me, what was difficult to accept about my voice was how light it is. Because I study opera, I've always wanted a much fuller voice. I also like musical theater and folk music, so I've always wished that I could belt, rather than simply mix. Something that my current teacher always told me to help me accept my voice is that it is okay to sound like me. I'm sure you know this, but I just want to say that it is okay to sound like you. I look forward to exploring more of your content and I can't wait to hear more of your voice. It's absolutely stunning. Thank you

I didn’t learn how to use my natural contralto voice until I got out on a ventilator, lost my voice, got muscle tension dysphonia, had a tracheotomy, and had to learn how to breathe, speak, and sing again. I lost complete mobility to my upper range. My vocal chords were actually paralyzed for a short time. The blessing after all the suffering is I found my true voice. I was forced to speak in my natural tone. My lowest note is D2. Currently can’t get past A4 😁 Even before all the vocal trauma I was hurting my voice. No clue. An important thing to remember: you should be able to hold your lowest and highest notes with a good, solid tone both with and without vibrato. On the high end, the highest note should not sound thin and airy and the lowest notes should not be muddy and wobbly like the extreme low end of the piano. The attack should also be clean such there is no "wah" quality (think jazz trumpets) or gradual air pressure sliding into the note, which is a tell-tale sign of bad breath support. Breath support is more challanging at the ends of the range for single-reed woodwinds and similar (voice, saxophones, clarinets, etc.) (Noting that the vocal cords influence the air column the same way a single reeed mouthpiece does with a clarinet or saxophone) Than it is in the middle of the instrument range.

I'm a contralto but, when I was growing up (15/16/17 that now I'm almost 20) and my teacher/also me was sure I would be a contralto, other people would tell me i don't sound androginous enough to be a "an actual contralto". But at the same time I felt more comfy singing male repertory, I would literally die to sing mezzo-sopranos songs. Time went by, sometimes I sing in a mezzo range (only when I'm inspired) (not all the time/usually when I warm up my voice extremely well) due to the practice. But at the same time, my lowered range expanded so damn much that my lowest note nowdays is a F2 like yours, and where my voice breaks is exactly where a Tenor or a contralto like me would break (B4, my voice needs to change the adjust to not break). My vocal tessitura is 100% contralto, but at the same time I hear people telling me sometimes that I don't sound androginous enough, but I think there are plenty of Lyric Contraltos isn't it? It's also rare a contralto that sounds "non-androginous" but yet naturally sing lows and suffer singing mezzo songs but sounds womanly? I was basically describing me, Altough I'm really sure, I just wanted to share my story! I enjoyed so much this video

I was sidecasted in class because of this and believed I couldn't sing. A few years later, my old boss caught me singing Amy Winehouse's "Rehab" in the back of the restaurant. Turns out she used to be a vocal coach, and she told me right then and there I was a contralto and had a very gifted singing voice. I've found a lot of other female contralto songs that I can sing, and have started accepting that I can also sing tenor songs and even some baritone. (I can sing some sinatra which is crazy to me...never would've thought, but I had kept my voice so tense in the past out of fear that I thought my singing range was literally only a single octave. As a kid I wished so hard that I could sing the lower notes, so while I kinda miss being able to hit the full soprano range, I am very happy with my current range. I always looked at expending your range as a similar process of how old jazz musicians used to "season" microphones to get certain sounds by coating them in cigar smoke so the particulates in the smoke would settle on the mic and affect how it registers the sound and all that. Once I figured that out I figured out that I can also sing alto but I can go super low as low as maybe tenor 1 maybe tenor 2? I can sing both male and female songs with ease. People who grew up with me when I was singing soprano in chorus are surprised I can sing alto and really low and people who knew me when I started singing alto were surprised I can sing soprano and go really high. The struggle I have though is my break in my voice between head and chest sits in an awkward spot so the transition sometimes sounds pressured, a little flat, and strained. I can sometimes naturally ignore that break and sometimes I can't.

Spot on for me I'm a mezzo w@s told I was a alto my whole life

Previously I was told that I was a contralto but I now understand that I am a mezzo soprano. My lowest note is C3 and my highest is E5 - which fits perfectly within the mezzo soprano belt range you mentioned (as well as the lowest notes). Thank you so much for this explanation, it is so helpful to realise that if I work hard, I can continue to improve my range as I still have another potential octave when I thought I was at my max.

Yes!! This is great to hear! I have a mezzo student who is actually in the same shoes, she’s a mezzo belter who is natural at the belt register but has a really hard time with the 3 octave “head” registers. Try some operatic/classical style exercises to help you flip into the other type of singing for the higher notes kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2LPmGZonslpsKssi=TNCMEbN7cG1EHV1D

My vocal range is G2 - G5. I have worked hard on my upper register because I always felt out of place. I have always sang alto for choirs but got frustrated and never understood why I kept falling in to tenor harmonies when sat next to them. I always thought it’s just because I was rubbish at harmonising but I had no trouble harmonising with a soprano for duets and similar things. Understanding that my range is not too dissimilar from a tenor and that it is absolutely normal and doesn’t make me weird/odd, makes me feel much better.

Your voice is really amazing! I’m a male vocalist, but your low notes actually extend lower than mine, and sound clearer as well 😅. I wanted to share a story about my friend, she came to me and asked me to help her figure out roughly where her voice lay. I used this video as a reference, and she nailed a low G2 and down to a rougher F2, I was so excited to find a true contralto! Thank you for the content, it helped me a lot, as my goal is to be a voice teacher.

I always wondered why in choir I could sing all the tenor parts fine but had trouble with some alto parts. X'D This was really cool to listen to!

You were disappointed to find out you weren't a soprano, while I'm disappointed that I'm a mezzo (barely) and not a contralto. 😅 I always see videos about how to train to hit higher notes and extend one's higher range (for both females and males), but I never see the opposite, which is what I want. I only have two octaves of currently-reachable range (F3 to F5), and while I'm sure I could extend the higher end of that with training, I couldn't care less about hitting anything higher than my sad little F5 - what I want is to eek out a few more steps from my low range (ideally down to the D3 that you marked for the mezzo low end). And if I had your low range - even if I could still only get to F5 as my highest note - I'd be ecstatic! 😁

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence! High voices always want lower more powerful sounds, low voices want high bright sounds, straight hair wants curly hair, curly hair wants straight hair hahaha it’s very relatable and I understand! Buuut you don’t actually have to sing D3 to make it sound like you’re singing low or have a low voice. The audience can hear tone but not what note r you’re singing on the piano. So just sing your lowest notes to where it sounds a d feels low for you and it will still sound low to the audience. This is exaaaactly what I am doing for highs. I move the key and when I sing what sounds high for me it doesn’t actually need to be that high on the piano because the audience perception is that it’s high because it’s high for me. I always thought this was a good example of a person singing lows as a soprano where it sounds low for them but isn’t actually low on the piano kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJali6SjgZ2Ynsk

Love how you said most people are physically capable of only 3-3.5 octaves. It also makes sense for you to say performance range is no more than 1.5-2 octaves most of the time, but I feel kind of a slight outsider to these rules because my voice once warmed up well enough expands to 4 octaves max and can actually remain that wide of consistent performance range for like 10 minutes before it goes to 3.75 octaves (still that much for full AND performance range).

That’s awesome! There are definitely exceptions like any physical body part it can be bigger than average and have more range than average. Almost 4 octaves is great! You can do a lot with that and have a lot of flexibility at hand

I’m actually highly curious because I used to be a soprano/mezzo-soprano range. However, after contracting the C-19 in 2021, I lost at least .5- almost 1 full part of an octave (my highest portion of my range). I have found singing down in the lower parts of Mezzo and upper portions of contralto feels much more comfortable now.

So I stumbled upon your video and I'm a bit confused, on the internet you tend to find that contralto is generally E3(or even F3)-F5, I definitely can't reach the 2s and have a very limited vocal range but consider myself a contralto bc my comfortable range is E3 - F4 and I've always had a lower singing vocie than the girls around me. I'm untrained though so idk if I'd be able to reach lower with training. Anyways, very impressed by and jealous of the girls able to reach the 2s, wow!!

I was starting to wonder if I was a Mezzo because I could only get down to a C# 3. But I'd been singing a lot at the top of my current range. I think I don't always support my C5-D5 as I should and it's something I need to work on (I often can't hit the D5 at all). I have my voice a rest and drank a lot of throat coat and truly wanted up. Then tried the bass line of a song we're singing I hit Bb2 nice and strong and then I hit the F2 almost as strong. I was so excited. I don't get to sing it that way for the performance, but it was validation for me. For those with low voices, do you experience this when you spend alot of time on your high notes?

I was just randomly looking for some demonstrations of contralto voices and I feel lucky to have stumbled across your video. I have a pretty different voice from the majority of women. Basically I sound like a boy all my life, many people cannot tell my gender when they are on the phone with me for the first time. There was this one time I got a call from a lady and she said "you sound very young. can you get your parents to answer the phone?" when I was like 20ish. I've always had a passion for singing, tho growing up my parents couldn't afford any music classes for me, and my grandma kept telling me when I was little "you have an ugly voice just as your mother". I almost forgot about singing until in high school someone told me "your voice is deep, thick and special. Have you ever considered singing Bel Canto?". I appreciated her words and it helped with my insecurity, but I thought it was too late for me to learn music, besides it was never an option for working class family. I went on being insecure about my voice until I joint college radio station. There I got to listen to my own voice a lot and learnt how to control it. I received plenty of compliments about my voice, at some point I finally overcame my insecurity. There're still guys saying I don't have an "attractive feminine voice", but... fair enough. I still sing over the years but it's totally irrelavent from what I do now. Your video made me realize maybe I do have a different range, and I'm reconsidering taking singing seriously. I'll start by finding myself a music teacher and learn it the way I never had a chance to as a child. Thank you so so much.

Learning to sing really helped my confidence and self esteem with having a super low voice (low enough to get sirred). I've been told that I'm lucky to have a low voice as an engineer and manager, which, sure, apparently that's a thing. But what really helps is being able to sing on Type O Negative covers. How many women can hit those corpus christies in Christian Woman? Or the intro to Nettie? Idk, it helps 🙂

Wow! That’s amazing! 🥰 Thank you very much for this valuable video. It helped me very much. I grew up, thinking all my life, I was a soprano. I could reach high notes, though only after singing lessons. And in falsetto, I think. I never really liked singing so high. It was just not pleasing for my soul, you know. I got the idea about being a soprano, because I couldn’t sing low, when I was 12. 😂 I never trained my low notes. Haven’t sang them, even though my speaking voice is in the C3-C4 range. I don’t know why I got such an idea, about me, having to survive the fact, that I’m a soprano, and I’ll never be able to sing low. I never really tried it, since I was 12. I’m so happy, I can sing low 😍🥰. I’m actually really surprised of myself. When I tried it at first, I couldn’t even sing the D3. It was a low quality tone. But as I’ve tried it few times, I got today at a comfortable C3, and I was surprised, I even handeled B2, quite decently. Even got to A2, though only a little. I love this! 😍 Thank you! It was always my big dream to be an alto. I don’t know if I could be a contralto. I can sing with Ursula, from the little mermaid, though. It looks like I’m a mezzo. Though I would wish to be a contralto. Who knows, maybe it will get better with time, and practice. 😊 I would really love to be able to sing the low stuff. I’m happy, that I actually can 😍. But still, I aspire to be a contralto 😏.
