VoiceLive Touch 2 - Georgia Murray - NAMM Demo Deconstructed

At NAMM 2013, Georgia Murray did a really great demo for VoiceLive Touch 2. As she demoed, people kept asking to see what she was doing on the unit to achieve her sound.
We decided to make a video showing exactly what she did. Enjoy!

Hi William. There's a learning curve, but it's not that steep. Georgia had dabbled a bit with VoiceLive Play beforehand, but to get this proficient with the new VoiceLive Touch 2, which operates in a very different way than Play, she spent about a week working with the unit. So, a relatively short time to get this good. :-)

Would love a tutorial on getting non-glitchy loops. I seem to struggle getting the first loop laid down - when and how to press the rec/play/stop etc. Once i have that sorted its easier for the other loops of course. I often stop it a bit early so its not a full number of bars.....

Hi arvel, Using IEM's (or just plain headphones) gives us the least amount of mic bleed and room interaction we can get. When we're recording for video, we prefer to have as little sound in the room as possible, so we wear headphones. In a live situation, to reduce bleed (which can interfere with pitch detection) we recommend a hyper-cardiod mic, well placed monitors (or IEM's) and FOH speakers, with all effects/EQ/Compression at the FOH console turned off.

Yes indeed. Why all this blabbing. An intro of ten seconds would really be enough to introduce Georgia. I almost never start You Tube video's at the beginning. I mean all of them. Those first minutes are such a waste of time and completely unneccesary and very annoying.
