A lot of Americans don't get it why it is so important to be multilingual or at a minimum bilingual. Languages help you understand cultures and there're a lot of things that you cannot translate from one language to another, you can merely interprete them. But, if you don't understand the culture it won't mean anything to you. In other words, we are very ignorant.

Der Auftritt von Ingrid ist echt klasse. Man merkt, dass sie Profi ist. Ich weiß nicht, ob du den Einspieler in der Sendung gesehen hast. Sie war früher Background Sängerin und macht jetzt "den Schritt nach vorne", wie sie es ausgedrückt hat. Völlig verdient!

Kennt noch jemand die Wether Girls? „It’s raining men?“. Ist natürlich nicht mehr die Originalbesetzung, aber Ingrid ist jetzt ein Teil davon. Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, ist ein Teil der Originalbesetzung tot, die andere hat mit ihrer Tochter weiter gemacht und als die Mutter aufhörte, hat die Tochter mit ihrer Cousine weiter gemacht und das ist eben Ingrid.

Ingrid thank you for helping me to rediscovering Germany since the 70s when I travelled extensively to such places as Philipshalle. Ingrid you remind of icons such as Aretha and Millie J. They had the ability to make you feel in a room of 2,000 that they were only singing to you. Check “I thought you would be waiting” “ 2:02 Loving arms again”

Naja sie ist gut, aber es gibt ganz viele gute Talente, hängt auch immer vom Geschmack ab, außerdem ist die Show ja auch dazu da, dass Talente sich entwickeln, da ist es nach den Blinds etwas zu früh über Sieger zu sprechen

du hast absolut recht,diese performance war mit abstand die beste in den blinds.(evtl. noch nico der vom auftritt her mithalten konnte).für mich ist es klar,entweder sie oder nico gewinnen die staffel wenn nichts schlimmes passiert. was bei diesen regeln und tel voting leider noch nicht sicher ist. aber evrdient hätte sie es!!!

I think many of us in the US take it for granted that we can hear great singers like her at any given time. You can go to church or go to a free concert somewhere in the city or pay for a concert. She put America's name way up there with her performance.
