I think Shillong climate is little different because Desi Roses mostly flower around april and by winter they stop flowering, also they look like going to dormancy period between December till February. One reason could be because of the weather. In winters Shillong temperature falls to 1°c or even lower than 0°c in certain locations and in summers Shillong temperature remains arround 26°-27°.

ये बेल वाला गुलाब है 2 महीने पहले देहरादून से मथुरा में लगाया था पर अब इसके पत्ते यलो होने लगे है कोई उपाय ये जमीन पर लगा है इसके पत्ते आधे हरे और आधे सूखे हुए हैं और दूसरे पेड़ पर तो सारे पत्ते झड़ चुके है

In my city Bhimtal uttarakhand rose plant bloom in summer season.In winters these plants stop flowering due to harsh winters.

I live in India. I do have a couple of rose plants and they are doing ok. But I've been interested in actually growing a rose plant from stem cuttings. Since no one around me have big enough plants to take a cutting, I've been trying to use stems from Boquets. If we go to the nearby flowershops, they sometimes have huge bunches of rose stems after removing the fowers. I go there and select the thickest and healthiest looking stems and try to plant them. I've tried close to 50 different stems like that. But none have succeeded. I've tried multiple methods as well - in water, using rooting harmones, using things like cinnamon / honey / turmeric / aloevera stems etc. I've tried covering the pot with plastic sheets for a greenhouse effect , keeping them open etc. Usually, within a few days, the stems turn black. However, a few years ago, when I stayed in London, I tried the same and got two beautiful rose plants - red and yellow. But I've not bee able to replicate that here in India :(

Hi @Voiceofplant , I like your videos very much. They are very detailed and targets actual problems and their solutions. I need help from you, in saving a money plant of mine. I had bought a marble money plant last year. I repotted it very carefully before winter season. And it showed good growth and in winters it went into dormancy so no growth happened. I think that I had under-watered it even after winter due to which plant leaves got brown/blackish spots on them and then leaves died. I got worried, and I moved it inside of the house, earlier it was in shade and was getting evening sunlight. Now it's growth is stunted, only the last partially opened leaf is there. I want to save this plant. Plz plz help me out.
