The scripture did not say that his thighs(skin) were exposed. If the High Priest of the Old Testament could not exposed their "nakedness" please don't begin a new doctrine contrary to or conflicting with modesty especially in the case of females. The name on his thigh could have also been visible or illuminated as it shown through His robe. This should not be used as a glorification of tattooing either.
