J was a member for about 3 years, but left to join the Navy in early/mid 2021. He's promised to come back - meanwhile, we get special performances when he's on leave/available. VioLayne picked up the nickname as a hashtag when they released Warriors - a stunning performance, totally broke me.

Awesome reactions to an amazingly awesome song. Because of this song Layne's nickname went from Carrot Lord to VioLayne. This is my absolute favorite of theirs. Can't get enough of listening to it.

Some of their covers reduce me to tears, every time I listen, and this is one of them. There is something about Geof's arrangements that just touch me deeply. He really is something special and his humility just adds to that. You're right, Layne owns and runs Pattycake Production with Tony Wakim who was a former VoicePlay member. You can see more of him in one of their older videos, Phantom of the Opera. Geoff and Layne were friends and sang together in middle school, together with another former member Earl, who left in 2020 for personal reasons, so that's many many years of working together, and it shows. Geoff's low not in this one was an E1, which is almost off the end of the keyboard. It might have been Cesar who did the very high note, it was him in their Dream On who achieved the iconic hight note.

I am very old, so missed the metal era. Didn't matter, this was an amazing piece, it struck me deeply. I'm glad to see you back with Voiceplay! I watched all of your faces. Ted, you knew the original and were grabbed by the arrangement of a favorite; I saw the joy in your face. Sam, I saw the fascination and awe in your face, your reaction was similar to mine. Ash, I know you've seen Voiceplay before, but just trying to wrap your head around what was happening was so much fun to watch. Voiceplay is just the best. Geoff Castallucci (the bass) started a solo channel during the pandemic in addition to his work with Voiceplay. I recommend that you check his channel out, too. Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff!

Agree 1000%. I even have sleep headphones so I can listen to them while I'm laying down. Sleep headphones are basically a head wrap with flat cushioned speakers in the sides so their more comfortable when laying on them. Voiceplay songs are amazing. Even ones I've never heard before I fall in love with. This one I listen to as much as possible. It is my go to lullaby. Put it on loop from my playlist. Put on the headphones and lay down, close my eyes and listen. I've already listened for4 hours straight without realizing it.
