I used to say that this was a heartbreaking song. But I’d like to amend it to heart-rending because it literally tears your heart out. It is so beautifully done but I can’t be in a sad mood and listen to this. It’s unfortunate that as versatile as VoicePlay is, more people don’t listen to their songs like this and True Colors. I’ve heard a few reactors say it was too slow. But in arrangements like this their genius and talent shine. EJ was perfect for this.

VoicePlay are a force to be reckoned with when they do pure 5-part harmony pieces like this. So beautiful. And yes, Layne was singing the whole time! You paused right on top of his part coming to the front of the mix.

I'm another one who always cries at this, those chords... those voices....too much. It deserves a lot more attention than it gets. So beautiful. I have to admit that I was going through the "giving up the fight" after a long term relationship when this came out, so it was especially poignant for me, but even so it is incredibly moving.

Cesar chose this one. It made me heartbroken for him. He hasn't found his forever partner yet. Just makes me tear up and tugs at my heartstrings. I so enjoyed hearing Layne sing. Such a sweet voice. I think they need to get the 2 Cardona brothers (EJ and Omar) together to do a video.
