The Little Mermaid is one of my all time favorite movies and this brought back all the memories and feels from the first time I watched it so many years ago. Glad you decided to react to this. Rachel sang Ariel at Walt Disney World in the 2000’s I’ve heard. I love VoicePlay’s theatrical videos but my favorite is a non theatrical one “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. VoicePlay has had several singer changes through the years. But they have always found wonderful fill-ins and new singers. Thanks for your reaction

J None killed Under the Sea- unfortunately, he’s no longer with Voiceplay, he recently left to go sing with the navy He was the replacement baritone(though in this medley he seems to be the tenor and Eli covering baritone, they all have incredible range) in 2018 after Tony left the group- and this video was released not long after Earl left

They released their “Moana medley” in the interval between their previous baritone Tony Wakim had left and before J None had joined, whereas “The little mermaid medley” was released after their 1st tenor Earl left. Since J None also left about a month ago, they’re both a baritone and a high tenor short at the moment. You’re correct that J None is in the Oogie Boogie song as well, and so is Earl. I don’t know how many Disney reactions you’re planning, but both “Frozen 2” featuring Adriana Arellano and “Walk the Distance” featuring E.J. Cardona are great VoicePlay covers!

go watch it again. you missed all of the reaction shots when Eli/seagull got crazy at the end. LOVED your response. J None was with VP for 3 years - just left in May to join the navy. Two last vids with J None were "Man in the Mirror" and "My Best Friend." So perfect and touching. He's immensely talented - thankfully he left behind a lot of wonderful performances. Neither Earl nor J None have been replaced yet (that we know of). They're using a lot of special guests. Keep an eye out for DJ Young and for Adriana -- so much great talent being showcased, but they are my two personal favorites.

I know it's not an animated movie.... but strongly recommend that you check out Warriors. I searched and didn't see a reaction from you..... It's AMAZING and Layne plays electric violin along with beat boxing.... he's unbelievable. Sounds like no violin I've ever heard before, it's like an additional voice.

Great reaction! A nice Disney themed crossover with Voctave would be probably Go The Distance - EJ Cardona of Voctave is in it, he's an AMAZING tenor (Voctave's O Come All Ye Faithful shows off his capabilities very well!). Once you're done with movie themed, Voiceplay have a lot of good song covers, such as We're Good, Carry On Wayward Son, Man in the Mirror (J None's last video with them)... there's quite a few. Edit: Also, Hellfire from Hunchback of Notre Dame by Tomi P is an amazing piece you might want to check out!

Earl, to my knowledge, hasn't yet been permanently replaced; ad interim, they've been covering the high end by doing collaborations with a series of mostly tenors and countertenors (Jose Rosario Jr., Omar Cardona, Deejay Young) or sometimes Sopranos (e.g., Rachel Potter). After J-None (Sebastian here) left to sing for the Navy, they found Cesar (the one with the blind eye in Hoist the Colours) to replace him. Those are all the *recent* lineup changes. There were some other changes to the line-up a while back (before and after the Sing-Off), but honestly most of their really *good* material has been produced since all that. (Their quality improved dramatically in the years following their appearance on the Sing-Off. Their recent material is MUCH better than the older stuff.)

You definitely won't regret reacting to Voctave's Disney Princess Medley and you gotta do their Disney Love Medley featuring Kirstie and her then-fiancee Jeremy Michael Lewis. Voctave doesn't use a beatboxer but their arrangements are beautiful (O Come, All Ye Faithful and Oh, Holy Night).

Another great reaction! The lady who played the original Ariel is Jodi Benson. J. None is the name of the guy who was playing Sebastian in this video. He has been a part of the group since 2018. He replaced Tony, who was the previous baritone of the group. He left the group this year, however, to sing in the Navy. Now the group has to find replacements for Earl and J. None.

That is j-none, and he didn't replace earl. He replaced another guy that was one of thr originals. Earl left last year and j-none left a month or 2 ago and joined the navy to sing in the navy.

I love watching reactions for this one. All you big guys turning to mush over Disney princesses. My smile (laugh) muscles and stomach hurt from laughing with/at you! I love your reaction! The baritone, J was with the group for four years, replacing Tony. He recently left. Check out his last song with the group, Man in the Mirror. So poignant. He left to join the Navy. I also love him in Boy Bands in 5 minutes and Queen in 5 Minutes. They are still trying to find a high tenor. Several, including Rachrl, are stepping in. DeeJay Young is in Man in the Mirror, but rumors have it as temporary as he (and Jose Rosario Jr) is returning to play in Hamilton. Jose was in two of their recent releases: Hoist the Colours (Pirates of the Caribbean 3) and My Mother Told Me (Assassin's Creed and the TV show Vikings). Both are definitely worth a look. They are outstanding. For a good laugh, check out Geoff's channel and look at his Halloween offerings. Keep up the great reactions. (And check out Queen in 5 Minutes and Boy Bands in 5 Minutes to see Earl's range.) Look for PattyCake Productions. It is owned by Layne and Tony (who J replaced). They have a few original series of videos and the one of (Disney) villains is great. And... I don't k ow if you are aware: Geoff and Layne (and Eli upon occasion) do the arrangements. A talented group!

Voice Play has done another three from Nightmare before Christmas = This is Halloween, Kidnap the Sandy Claws, What's This? They also do Grim Grinning Ghosts but I'm not sure where that comes from.
