@@timglende8869 - As well, Art Hannes, Norm Stevens, Lee Jordan, Wally King, Dave Campbell, Bob Hite - and the first African-American to be hired by any major network as a staff announcer, Pat Connell (who preceded by six years NBC's hiring of Fred Facey). On 'the Coast,' I can think off the top of my head Bud Sewell (who announced for CBS Radio's 15-week 1957 "The Stan Freberg Show"). Would anyone know which shows another CBS voice, John Shafer (surname sometimes spelt 'Schaeffer'), would have handled?
