This is how I first learned about 86, and so far, the cover illustration of the first volume of the light novels is stacking on the massive feels that this song was already providing even while I haven't listened to both this cover and the original in full yet. And speaking of the illustrations for 86's light novel, I just realized that the Shirabii who drew those is the same one who designed Xenoblade Chronicles 2's Kasandra and Octavio's work sister Riona Isaki.
