I really liked the original because of the gritty and incomplete feel it had, as though the song itself was in the middle of some sort of metamorphosis. Then you took it and completely reversed the the feeling it had with a very high and clean sound, you sir did a very awesome Metamorphosis on this song :)

You can use any song for montages and stuff. You just need permission from the copyright owners of the song. It would also help if you actually bought the song legally. Just buying a song legally doesn't give you copyright avoidance. Even if a song is copyright free you should generally ask out of kindness...
