Got my copy yesterday in the U.S. and spent most of the evening organizing, setting up the tutorial and reading through the scenario and rulebook as guided by the compendium. A lot to unpack physically and mentally but this is a really great run through of the rules and play. Very well done and easy to see (unlike most videos for this game). I am now very confident that I can play through this game and enjoy it, whereas I was a bit overwhelmed at the idea of playing it myself and trying to teach it to the group. Well done!

Took it to the local game store on Sunday Games(but didn't play it) to show it off, and the gamer nerds stopped what they were playing and were all like the Toy Story minions "Ooooooh pointing ☝️" I had 6 people wanting to be on the list to play it! Real nerd Viagra!

Hi Mike, great series of videos. I am just wondering why you didn't use the alerts and crises decks in your play? I am playing the solo game now and I think the rules say to use it, am I wrong? Thanks.

For a full solo game, you are right. For the tutorial, you should not use the alerts and crisis decks as it adds more complexity while trying to teach the fundamentals.

@@mikeminutillo4588 yeah I have just found that paragraph at the beginning of the rules book. This also explains why I have lost the last two tutorial games. I haven't been able to complete the text on the crises cards because the focus cards I needed were discarded. Thanks for this, so when I play again I remove the crises board, and the heroic focus cards? - these are only used in the solo mission "first spark" - is this correct?

Why did you play 3 cards instead of just 1? Rules say play 1 card exactly. Did I miss something? Does solo do all three?

The galactic event determines how many rounds there are. In this case, three. In each round every player plays exactly one card. When there's only one player there's no one else to break up the rounds so you play your cards one after the other.
