Blackthorn hammer is the embodiment of items that are really good early but pointless late game.

I'm not convinced the new one is actually good, it doesn't have 400HP like it did back in the day. Pretty sure you should just go runeforged if you want a hammer item because you have perma mp5, hp5 and more power and you only 'lose' (trade) 10CDR for the runeforged passive. With blue, a starter and runeforged it's pretty hard to go oom anyway.

The big thing with Smite 2 is new code many of the bugs in Smite 1 can't be fixed because of poorly written outdated code that stops Hirez from making progress even they admited that the code is a big problem causing many cool mechanics being hard to implement

I tried the new crit glyph. It's nutty for sure, but I think it's only nutty, not because of the damage you can pump out with it, but because you have to have over 100% crit chance for it to work. Which means it removes the RMG factor. You get the same amount of damage you used to be able to get with 50% crit builds, but now you have 100% crit. That breaks it. On a side note, it is super busted on Serqet because she can get 100% crit in two items, and adding more crit after that becomes insanely broken. On Serqet going, all the crit items is not memeing.

I still think mystcal needs buff to scale damage off with your HP. The damge is miniscule around 23-14 due to base magical defence so its not really noticable.

I tried the crimson claw with bloodforge in jungle practice and those shields stacked. Had about 50% of my HP covered by a shield. It was pretty nuts

Gladshield might not be overrated anymore paired with the percent pen in your build. Starter/BT hammer/glad/both void items/binding? Not too tanky but thats a lot of prots negated

Smite 2 is the best path possible for longevity of the game, I have been asking for a revamp like this way before smite 2 was even in the picture. New engine will not only look better but it will run smoother, be less buggy, easier to work on back end stuff. No downsides besides losing some skins that wouldn’t last anyway

Also it will take years before it catches up to smite 1. 50 on launch and 25 gods a year including new gods means minimum 3 years. Luckily ive been a bellona main since launch, so ill be good, but some others wont get their mains for a good while

@@liveadhdtv 3 years of catch up is not that bad when it took about 10 years for 130 releases. Another game I play is also going through this upgrade phase where we lost everything on the original game and now we’re basically back to early access but with better graphics, WildCard is the telling us it’ll take them 2 ish years to release all the maps with all the content they have with new things added in as well. But I hate to say it, but no one believes them, pretty much every KZbinr covering the game agree WildCard will likely be wrong with their estimates on release dates and that we should probably add about a week or two on to when WC says it’ll release

It will certainly have bugs, but if you think any game comes out with no bugs or glitches nowadays you live under a rock. Even games that just direct upgrade like smite will have bugs, it comes with the territory of being on a new engine

I remember gooseberries for sure being converted, I can't remember the other two they converted but I'm pretty sure bao didn't make the cut which is a shame. Loved that and stew. As for the Class passives, I don't really care either way. I only felt like the warrior one was noticeable. 10% free cdr was pretty nuts

I quite smite for the most part at the end of s8. Just come back once every 3 or so months to play a couple, Smite 2 got me excited about the game again.
