I completely agree with you. Gladiator SP, and I’ve played a lot of shuffle and arena. VW is def better and more free in shuffle and any 3s comp not caster. Archon is so telegraphed too. VW also does meaningful dmg. And Halo is pad. Preach Boni!

Void leech was trash on beta unless they changed it. I remember it was taking 3% health from your team members and healing you for less because it was reduced by dampening.😂

I agree. I tested out Archon initially but got curious and tested voidweaver. I like it much better but I tried a different set of talents. I will def try yours out. Also agree on the momentum part. It's so tough as SP to get everything going as you just instantly get charged and tunneled while we cast cast cast. Btw you say void form is useless but it gives us a 10% dmg bonus which is nice imo. Void torrent while being able to move is another reason I prefer voidweaver. I'd wish mindblast but also SW:Death did some more dmg. It's so weak as a "execute" it's pathetic

Nice gonna give this a go. One question tho, since you want this all to line up with your stun silence thats 45s cd, wouldnt it be better to drop malediction to have void torrent just be its baseline 45s to match your cc and use the point elsewhere as i can see me wanting to sit on void torrent when i know the healer doesnt have a trinket to stop the go? Plus you can pick up mindbender and smooth out your insanity regen as it will be up close to the time due to the initial ramp as well as voidwraith might be also good for initial presure?

If you say Void Form doesn't do anything and the first problem is always ramp time - Dark Ascension gives 30 insanity, which ramps you much faster than nothing.

I was playing with insidious ire while in last season of df to try pump more dmg from mind blast and without it did 100k max and with insidious ire it magically goes to 500k even so i haven't tried spriest yet but if i have the chance i'll try to commit to void blast with insidious ire, i'm sure it can do good dmg but it sucks i have to max out every buff possible while the rest can do dps mindlessly lol

You think mind blast damage is bad? Look at enhancement shaman’s stormstrike, 144k (pre 17th buff, 168k now) as a 633 shaman

That's sad. This came about because they balance the entire damage profile instead of the individual abilities. Each ability used to be balanced against other abilities by cast time and cooldown.

3:01 that's true, that's pure bullshit. Like, how can Enhancement Shamans be able to deal 3+ million damage with one Lightning Bolt that can be INSTANT, and without cooldown? And I don't play the expansion... but from what I saw on Twitch and KZbin, they spam that ability like crazy! ... but Mind Blast has an 8 second CD, with 2 charges, can also be sometimes insta-cast - but deals only that much damage? It's ridiculous.

I had to push 1.6k as a pve guy to get 4p because I got 2 set tokens in the raid. Archon was a pain in the ass especially in 3s. Unplayable in 3s.

You can tell me Voidweaver is better when it gets more damage for PvP. My Archon loadout usually brings me near top dps on average and outperforms Voidweaver. Sure we have mind flay insanity, but having someone run away from my floaty void disk happens WAAY more than my mind flay insanity getting interrupted. I will play it when we get some damage buffs to compensate for how easy some classes can avoid the damage.

@@princessmagilouEven in single target, Archon has higher single target dps. Voidweaver has more burst and more windows of damage than Archon. They are both viable in different situations. For example.. Archon is waay better against MM hunter than voidweaver is, but Voidweaver is nice for peeling for healers. You even prove my point in a way. People shouldn’t feel comfortable sitting in the void. It needs a debuff or a damage boost.

610 ilvl, Archon doing 1.5m dps burst for the first 20 seconds dropping to 800k dps, meanwhile Voidweaver is doing 800+k burst before dropping to 500k dps... Voidweaver only shines for PvP due to mobile void torrent or rift causing slow effect.

I've been saying this. Archon is trash outside the meme MF:I. You do no damage in-between the minute long halo cd. VW is every 30 seconds, has better burst. I switch between void leech and embrace the shadow depending on environment. Delves/instanced pvp I leech. World pvp I use embrace because I will likely run into a lock/dk so that 3 percent absorb + heal matters.

@@videofabriken you're talking about 10% more damage to mind blast and shadow word: death. Those abilities deal about 3% of someone's health bar. That means that Inescapable torment bumps then from 3% "nukes" to 3.3% absolute health bar deleters. If you deselect the talent you won't even realize it's gone.

Blind Blast is cucked, because SPriests are stuck in PvE hell for ever. Psy-link for aoe, if mind blast hits like a truck , its going to break Spriest AOE. p.s. Lock aoe is absolutely broken btw.

I just hit 80 today as Shadow. With a PVP Ilvl of 625 my Void Blast Crits for 1mil and Torrent is crit for 653k each tick. I think It might be worth trying a crit build with Mind Spike
