This was fun, as usual, but I do want to say one thing: I am glad that CIG has made it a banable offense to spawn camp. I know a lot of people were against that decision, but to be clear, you saw the proper way to handle that situation in this very video. You kill them once, then occupy the bed. They can't respawn on the ship if the bed is occupied. Problem solved. Of course, you also see the counterplay to that here: a second guy shoots you while you're occupying the bed. And counterplay to that: bring additional boarders. This is exactly how this is SUPPOSED TO WORK, and why spawn camping being banable is NOT a problem AT ALL. Anyhow, great vid as always Voidy!

While the subject of piracy in SC is still a bit controversial, I have to say this... There is STILL no real there there. While any prospective trader is making at least 30 - 100K per load after costs, even if you manage to recoup 60% of total cargo, once you split that three or four or five ways with all your fellow pirates, it just doesn't make sense the majority of the time as far as how the numbers work out. You would need at least 250K - 500K worth of remnant cargo, and that's not even accounting for time spent. Now if you're just tired of PVE and PVP dog fighting, bored with trading and mining, it's one of the few things left. The player base is bored and there isn't much to do other than disrupting or interrupting other people's non-combat gameplay. "Emergent gameplay" as it's called. Or, "ESRB Notice: Game Experience May Change During Online Play". As if the PU wasn't already intent on sidelining w/e it is you're trying to do already. It's like we all ran out of 'content' to squeeze out of this thing and have just descended into slap fighting out of boredom. You might consider accompanying your pirate videos with the Benny Hill soundtrack. For that matter, CIG might consider adding it as background music for spectrum as well.

I dont think many people do pirating as their main gameplay loop, I thinks its more an exercise of group coordination, and just general fun, since theres also allways a thrill when pirating someone, hell you dont even really need many to pirate, a 2 man crew is enough in a lot of cases, though if youre after money, junp in a corsair or 600i and do high-threat beacons and critical beacons.
