Congratulations and apologies at the same time. I'm still having a whale of a time with my Bessa. Definitely a keeper!

Years ago I owned a Minolta Dynax 500si Super your video has compelled to obtain another albeit mint one with all the original strap eyepiece cover and instructions for £6 I also obtained Minolta 28-80 70-210, 50mm and a 28 mm all. AF and in mint condition with caps and hoods all these lenses cost me less than £70 I also purchase a Minolta RC 1000 cable release boxed £5 and a 5600 HS D speedlite for £20. There is a thing I found Formpan 100 BW film 2 36xp rolls for less than £14 I just missed shooting with film (last time was 15 years ago) and although not Voightlander price still puts out good images

Thank you Tinkerbell. The frame lines are readily visible whether I shoot with my glasses on or off. That's the benefit of the eye cup. The minus 3 diopter does not completely correct for my vision, but it does give me the choice of shooting with or without. Currently I only have the 35mm Voigtlander lens for this camera , but I will experiment with my video hardware to see if I can produce useable footage to demonstrate the frame lines and the focussing patch.

Thank you for the excellent video. I think that what makes this camera model so interesting is the viewfinder with frame lines for wide angle lenses. Do you plan on doing a followup video where you go over the viewfinder frame lines and how well they work with the standard 50/35mm lenses as well as the wider 21/28mm lenses? Or at least what the frame lines look like and your opinion how they would work for glasses wearers?

You are too kind, sir. For black and white work, it still gets me into right mindset. The tactile feedback from the beautifully crafted body and lenses is on a par with my Leica.

Do you still have this camera? How is it after a couple of years use? Build quality, any quirky bits etc. I have been wanting this camera for a long time, will be buying it this summer if I can find a nice one. Could you do a long time review?
@DrHWO5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I still have the camera. I use it to compliment some of the work I do with the Nikon D850. On average I process 2X24 rolls of BW film each month, so not a heavy use. The transport mechanism and camera back are still buttery smooth. I would love to feel well enough to produce a follow up video, but the all seeing eye has other plans for me.

H V I went to see my optician ( optometrist) who advised me on which diopter to get. I got the Nikon version, because that is what my camera store had in stock. The camera is a real old school joy to use and takes me back to the days of doing things with greater thought. I use it primarily as a black and white camera.

At this point I had no studio lighting. Ideally it would have been shot outside, but here in the UK, its generally raining. Will try to better next time!
