*Voith Has Panic Attack* - Euro 5 Pulsar Kickdown!

Crazy downshifts from 3rd to 2nd gear are a well known trait of the modern Voith gearboxes, but on these Euro 5's they go absolutely crazy and seem to forget that they are actually a gearbox and do need to change gear :D

Fact: the driver most likely used eco kickdown (foot of gas pedal and then full down) voith DIWA's like the one in this bus will not know what to do and scream in panic

The biggest bus company in my region is using some Iveco Irisbus Crossway LE, and they have the same problem. Every time the driver uses kickdown, it shifts down and revs up to about 2300rpm and does not shift up until the driver stops flooring it.

In the netherlands there are some drivers that revs the busses until 30k - 35k RPM but brake afterwards because otherwise the voith gearbox will run wild and they will be unstoppable. They howl up to 50K RPM. The power triples

Lmfao :D it seems to be a well known trait of the Pulsars that they have a surge in power on kickdown from third to second gear, but these Euro 5's just go completely crazy, they seem to take about 3 or 4 seconds to realise that they're a gearbox and that they've just let the engine rev way higher than they should have, then it's a massive "Oh Shit" and they throw it up the gears again :D I'll take a look at your vid :)
